Project is about finding 3 products (Can be hardware or software) and analyzing their current drawbacks and then finding solutions to solve those problems.

Can someone post here if they have any products in mind that I can choose for this project?

I've been thinking about MS Excel and Bitcoin Hardware wallet but couldn't find any drawbacks for both.

Well an easy way is to take a look at the software and hardware you are currently using.

To make even more interesting, take the product, but make sure a newer version is already on the market. That way you can compare with the drawbacks you have identified, the solutions you came up with, and the solutions the manufacturer came up with.

From the course details, it seems more focused on hardware.

Some suggestions:
- Phones
- Computer parts
- Monitors
- Smartwatches
- Heck, anything with the smart-prefix like smart-lamps, thermostats, etc.
- Bluetooth devices
- Lithium-Ion battery devices - Analyze the current limits to battery storage and what the field is working on today

Another way to tackle this is to choose something that you are thinking of buying. You want it, but something about the device is holding you back from making the purchase. What aspects of the product should change for you to fall in love with it.

I would personally suggest looking at a console for one item, you can talk about past and present and future of how they have progressed (hardware and software side). You can analyse their current drawbacks and even find solutions to solve those problems presently. (Updates) It also wants you to talk about the functionality, material etc.

With consoles you have plenty of drawbacks you could talk about, the functionality, material etc.

I would also suggest cameras with the hardware, design aspect and how you could improve the aspect. I'm no genius just trying to give you ideas.

Sure why not talking about the Bitcoin blockchain itself, just a suggestion, for example when the network is full, the transaction fees become way too high and this becomes a problem, how can we fix it? By not allowing spam transactions to go through by making an anti-spam feature in the blockchain, and allowing bigger transactions to have a higher priority.

Honestly take on the crypto currency market and like the user above said the entire encryption market. Also, somrthing that could b extremely interesting is artificial intelligence and machine learning etc, could be a very interesting project.

Digital cryptography has many sections, each method (SHA1/2(56)/MD5/Blowfish/etc) has its own detailed list of information. If you're trying to target software, you can look into encryption software.
