My Very First App [List Fixer] - Added L337 Speak Converter For the Lols.

This is my very first useful tool. I know it's nooby and simple to the max but this is going to help me a lot and it may help other sellers (IDK). Sentry outputs with combos in a list with each item on a new line. This replaces the new line with commas so you can put them straight on to Selly. It also works in reverse (like in the below screen).

Nice "first" app its working how it supposed to work :)
[Image: wuTJduD.jpg] If it is "human", you can NOT "trust" it. If it is "alien" you will find it at NASA. If it is "ape" you have already been robbed.. If it is "me" I will say HI!
Good job, continue learning!
Please take on the good habit of naming your GUI elements. You will thank your later self!
TxtInput & TxtOutput & BtnJoin & BtnSeparate & BtnClear for example.

Thanks, man. Technically third but I doubt the "Hello World" and calculator count lol.

Very good point. I will be sure to do this in future. Thanks 🤝.

I'd like to give you a good hint. Resharper. It will help you out in so many ways, especially for programmers who're just getting started. It will be able to correct some of your logic, suggest alternatives and even help you get in a better habit of naming your variables.

I know some people are against using Resharper and everything but at least give it a shot.

You can get a free account if you can provide them with an open-source project of yours (this is how I use Resharper ultimate for free). Although you'll probably want to have a an open-source project that's actually interesting and has value.

You can also use your school or university e-mail address. That's why selling .edu emails are so popular around here.

As of VS 2017 Resharper is obsolete.

No it's not. Please don't blatantly state things without proof. That way you're spreading misinformation. If you think Roslyn/VS17 code analysis is up to par with Resharper, you're mistaken (maybe you don't know any better). Anyway, I'll gladly open your horizon:
https://www.jetbrains.com/resharper/docu...s2017.html

But honestly logic would be your best friend here. It would take years for VS to come up to par with current Resharper capabilities and by that time Resharper will have improved already (unless they give up or something). The day VS is equal to or better than Resharper, the product will no longer be of use and wouldn't be so popular. That day has yet to come. Don't get me wrong, I look forward to a time in which VS is better than resharper. It would save me quite some money.

Cheers, man. It seems a little like Grammarly for coding though. As a writer I detest Grammarly so can't use its coding counterpart lol.

Nice work! It's a pretty good project for your first time, I remember my first project being a shitty calculator. Lol Good work OP.
i'm also learning vb.net but here are some tips

you got button1 button2 and button3 rename them to btnJoin btnSeperate and btnJoin its way easier to understand the code then and

TextBox1.Text = ""
TextBox2.Text = ""

i get your point here ^^ but its better if you replace the "" with Nothing (yes the word Nothing)
if you have any questions about vb.net feel free to add me on discord TheHelper#4217

fuck sakes man you just helped me save soooo much time. Love for this!
Nice work man! I remember my first vb scripts! I treasure them in my heart ;)

The best thing about programming is you can almost always find multiple ways of doing things.

For example, there are multiple ways to clear a textbox
Code
TxtBox.Clear()
TxtBox.Text = Nothing
TxtBox.Text = ""
TxtBox.Text = String.Empty

Continue the great work and when you read code really try to disect and understand it. MSDN is your best friend along with Google.
Just FYI, this:
Code
Dim input As String
Dim output As String

input = TextBox1.Text
output = TextBox1.Text.Replace(",", vbNewLine)
can be shortened to this:
Code
Dim input As String = TextBox1.Text
Dim output As String = TextBox1.Text.Replace(",", vbNewLine)
