Get into MMA without parents knowing?

Is this possible for me? I would like to get into MMA, but I realize that my parents would have a heart attack and I don't really want them to know at all. Is it possible for me to go to an fighting gym and fight and train without my parents knowing?

Appreciate any advice or just people who've dealt with the same thing.
Well, is there any possibility you could go out with friends and hangout?
You could use that as an excuse.

The main problem for me is 1) gyms requiring age 2) coming back with my face and body fucked up.
Let us say that you get into an accident and you get a visible injury. How are you going to explain that? You tripped or something?
Nah. Just don't, imo. It's your life though.

My life's been too boring recently and all I've wanted to do is party, smoke weed, and sleep. It's depressing. I need something exciting. This is that.

You want to do something that could/will fuck you up physically and mentally? Sure, do so but wait 'till you've grown up and don't involve your parents (i.e. move out.)
Don't you ask yourself how worried your parents will be about you if you start doing this shit, especially at such a young age?

I'm 17, it's not even that young of an age to start fighting. What about boxing? I feel like boxers definitely go through less physical and mental stress? I'm not worried about what my parents think, no. I don't want them to know at all, so that they won't worry.
you are girl? why would they have heart attack it's just a sport, not a terrorist organization.
Don't expect to get up in the ring and do sparring the first day.
You can easily go out and just train and you don't even have to lie to your parents. Just tell them you are getting into the gym and want to improve your physique. As for the MMA part, however, I doubt you can get away with it. Depending on the outcome of your fights you will more than likely come home with bruises and injuries. Why can't you just tell them you want to start MMA?

This is true, you will spend a good couple of months training and getting prepared before you have an actual fight. You aren't going to come home each night a bloody mess, this is a fantasy. If you don't care at all what they think just plain tell them you are starting a new sport because you want to keep fit and it interests you.

Well you'll prob come how with a black eye or some black spots at your body some time. But I the best thing to do is tell ur parents after atleast 6 months when ur first fight might be. You won't come how with a black eye or anything like that from training. At the start you'll most likely don't even spar at the start. Maybe with your trainer to help you a bit.

Exactly this.
To be honest I don't even know what your parents are worried about.

It's self defense, it's not a "Go and kick down everyone you hate in the town" sport.
If you've never done anything like it before it's unlikely you'll do any kind of fighting/ intense sparring within the first 6 months.
Just tell them man, tell them you're a man and you want to at least be able to do something.
