Can more people in the marketplace start paying/accepting alternatives to btc?

It sickens me how many people are still using btc for regular exchanges when fees are insane and it takes a day for transactions to confirm.

How do you currency exchangers even make money when all your profit is lost in fees?

Please start using, Ethereum, Litecoin, or Monero it will be better for all of us.

The demand for btc is high so it's better to do currency exchange with that currency instead of using something more efficient like ETH which the fee is low and is fast. Plus doing large exchanged like $200 for 12% fee wouldn't really have people who do currency exchange with profit lost in fees since they gain around $24 in profit which $3-4 will go to fee if they choose that amount for fee. I do agree that they should switch to a better currency but there no point in switching if you won't make as much profit as selling btc which will make you lose money if you do use normal fee for exchanges under $34 with an fee of 12%

At least do ETH.

ETH is perfect for it and so easy to use!
I think people just don't want to deal with lots of different currencies (out of ignorance or laziness).

Just use shape shift and send straight to merchant.
I hate everyone on this website.

No it's not better to do currency exchanges with Bitcoin, you just said why we need to use Eth the fee is low and it's fast.

And you also just proved my point the fee is more then $3, it adds up if your doing a lot of exchanges each day. There's no reason to use Bitcoin.

Personally I couldn't care less, as long as it's irreversible and not a shitcoin, I'll accept it and just do it straight into my exchange account lul.

That being said, most people won't be holding coins like STRAT or LTC for trading purposes, so it's kind of redundant to list them as currencies on a sales thread. It makes much more sense to just say 'Cryptocurrencies accepted'

I'd prefer more people use Monero, but Eth would be 100x better then bitcoin.

You have to pay fees to send the btc though.

Yes, I'm stating that ETH is indeed better but the demand isn't as high as BTC(on hf). Also, it does add up but if you exchange btc around $100+ per person with 15% rates you'll be fine. Don't get me wrong I'd love people to switch to ETH but as it is right now BTC will continue to be a go to coin for people who do currency exchange.

It doesn't have to be, bitcoin is a shitcoin compared to these other technologies.

If people really want to hold Bitcoin then after accepting payments in whatever other currency they want they can exchange it for Bitcoin on Poloniex or some other exchange.

Your question is essentially equivalent to asking 'Why can't merchants accept Zimbabwe dollars instead of just accepting USD?'.

I don't think it's much to ask, if they decided to start using these other currencies they would save money and time, it's beneficial for both people in the transaction.

Edit: It also couldn't be easier to get these cryptos
