What exactly are we getting for $70? Are we getting the source that we can upload to our own server?

You get source and upload it to your own hosting.

If so, does it run on both linux AND windows servers? What are its dependencies? Or, are you hosting everything, and all we get is a link?

It runs on both Windows and Linux servers. The dependencies are node (and ws, but that's downloaded with the code) and read the thread it says you provide hosting.

However, if we're able to host this ourselves, and inject the script via JS into any servers that we have a shell or root access on, then that would be amazing. If this is the case, than I'm 100% interested.

You can put it on any website you have a shell on.

EDIT: I just read that the latest version of Chrome (and possibly FF too) throttles the CPU of background tabs to 1%, so if the user is not open on the tab, you'll barely get anything. Is that the case here as well?

They've done this for a while but it doesn't seem to affect web assembly.

If an average browser can only mine about 30H/s then you'd need hundreds of thousands of users connected at any given time for it to really impact your wallet, right? Help me out if I'm not understanding something. I see this as an investment, but I also see it somewhat difficult to get a positive ROI.
