I've fixed this issue :)
had to do If Result.Contains("Login.Success") rather than:
If Result = "Login.Success"


So the php script works on the web browser if i type url/login.php?username=user&password=password. I get the echo "Login.Success" Although when i run it in VB using System.Net.Client.DownloadString it doesn't echo Login.Success nor Login.Failed. Please help i confirmed this by adding an extra if statement if it got neither Login.Success or Login.Failed It will display a message box with "An error occured" I type correct login credentials and get that error in VB application.

I would not use the GET method for login credentials lad, use POST method.

As he said, did you use POST instead of GET? It's important for security
