College Essay Help?

Hey guys I am in need of help for my college essay. I have a rough draft but I'm not sure if it's what they want. I am just straight up explaining myself, and my "pros" to make myself 3D and showing them about me outside of the numbers.

I'm not sure if I should be doing Show vs Tell or if I should be showing and not telling or telling and not showing, etc... Not even sure what to write about.

I have like 1 thing that sets me apart from a lot of people and that's Boy Scouts. I am heavily involved and have lots of experiences but I'm not sure if I could put out 650 words on scouts.

Help
What exactly is the prompt? I see what you said, but can you give me something word for word?

Also, the best way to do something like this is to try to view yourself as an outside person or a fictional character. It's weird advice, but it works. How would you describe someone else with these traits? Playing yourself up, even when you don't really feel or think that way, if you're the subject of your essay, is the best way to get through them.

I hate writing essays, but I'm pretty good at them.

Also, showing is generally better than telling. Showing is used more often in a narrative setting, like fictional stories or recollections of nonfictional stories and anecdotes. Telling is used most effectively in clear cut things like science labs, lists, resumes, etc.

This is exactly what you don't want to do lol. Admissions officers (especially to top schools) will see right through it. Just be yourself OP. If it's a personal statement, just tell the admissions officers things about yourself. Tell them things that grades and numbers can't. Or tell them a cool story about something you love doing. I wrote about how I learned how to roll Chipotle burritos like a pro lol. Admissions officers see so much padding on applications... honesty and comedy will be refreshing for a change.

I guess it depends on individual experiences then, because my admissions essay was my experience with and relation to art, and writing about myself as if I'm writing about someone else is way easier for me than just talking about myself like a person, and my admission was accepted. I'm not saying to grandstand, dude.
If you have the money I would use one of the essay services on here to write up something nice for you.
