I am in my 30s and post personal stuff at times without even thinking.
The inability to edit and remove the content is still my damn fault for not thinking before posting it up.
Frankly I personally think it is the parents responsibility to explain to their children that ANYTHING they post up on the internet is there forever. and once its online even if you redact or remove the content its too late, only takes one person to copy the content and save it and its available forever.
How many teenage girls end up embarrassed or even committing suicide because they allowed a raunchy photo to get in to the wrong hands of a school mate or former boyfriend? You hear about it all the time in the news.
Same shit different example.
Dont post shit online you dont want the world to know about.
13 or 30, should still know better.

True yet people are people. People make mistakes and some kids weren't taught better (Perhaps of the lack of teaching from their parents). Just thought I'll say this.
My hat used to be somewhere along the border of being grey but over the past few years, I realized my calling is to learn and help others out in ways that I can ethically. Learn as much as you can, experience, grow, educate, and throw yourself in uncomfortable situations.

Yea well, its unfortunate.
Same principal as Common sense is not so common
and you Can't fix stupid.
Sadly stupidity and lack of common sense ruins it for everyone.

A 13 year old is a 13 year old. The brain is not fully developed until the age of 20 / mid-20s.
When you are 30, you do know better, because your brain is fully developed.
You really can't say that a 13 year old should know any better 😝 You're relying too much on his or hers parents then.
Not all parents know how to handle their kids when it comes to the internet and they can't do much to stop them either.

I like how you just quoted Green Day. I'm a big fan of them myself (Off topic, I know).
To all people complaining about this, yes it might be annoying to you now but if you adjust to change I'm sure you can make it work.

That's why I wouldn't let my kid get access to the Internet (or very very little). Nowadays they can literally get access to everything on the net, gore videos or similiar shit can be easily found with a Google search.
Maybe next time we can not abuse something that you warn us not to. I doubt it but one can only hope this will be a good example.

Maybe children wouldn't grow up to be such little shits if their parents actually cared about the content they took in online.
Unrestricted internet access =/= Good childhood

He won't be able to do shit. His kids will be 10x smarter than him and probably will do all things what their dad couldn't have done at the same age.
I see this thread is still booming, what I have missed in 10 posts?

It's easy to control the content accessible on a computer when you have physical access to it.

And it's more easy to hack the same PC when you have physical access to it.

There are great programs nowadays to monitor your child's activity. btw I don't mean adolescents, I actually mean children between 7-14. And I don't see why kids in that age range would need unlimited access to the net.
