Let's say the scammer had access to his email for the past 6 months and had access to his reddit account.
This would mean that it was the "real" scammer who is responsible for the reddit report.

But that also means that he's been vulnerable for 6 months without notifying the community about it.
He also mentioned that the email was linked with EVERYTHING, meaning that everything has been compromised for a long time.
