Looks like HFX, which is an extension made by xadamxk.

I just disabled it and the giant emojis went away. ![]() (Nov 11, 2017 07:33 AM)Nevieth Wrote: Looks like HFX, which is an extension made by xadamxk. But yes, you're right. : ) ![]() (Nov 11, 2017 01:05 PM)FiftyTwo Wrote: I very much prefer this navigation bar over the other one for mobile. Not really a very helpful navigation imho. It's just simplified to the point that it adds a few links. It doesn't really assist with navigation. It is not mobile friendly, responsive, or really useful imho. But when I have the extra time I'm going to figure out a proper setup. (Nov 11, 2017 02:40 PM)Omniscient Wrote: Not really a very helpful navigation imho. Are tabs going to be returning for Desktop users at all? I feel like I'm posting much less because I'm no longer seeing the popular areas (lounge, etc) all categorized at the top of each tab. It's a little bit more difficult to find things. It also makes subforums invisible on the main index. (Nov 11, 2017 02:40 PM)Omniscient Wrote: Not really a very helpful navigation imho. However would it be possible to get the wiki links added? If not, will wait for final version. Keep up the great work Omni. ![]() Quote:Are tabs going to be returning for Desktop users at all? I'm trying so damn hard to move HF into a new direction but all I get is pushback. I kept us on 1.6x for 7 years and everyone wanted new features and updates. So I take the giant leap and begin serious work to improve and upgrade the site. Honestly, it's not been worth it. This is a disaster. In one year, a lot of these people complaining won't even be here. In one year, people will forget these times where it was seen as "chaotic." You're a one man team trying his damn best. People don't seem to really understand that nor respect that. Fuck the haters. Major organizations and companies change things all the time, there will always be major push back but in the end, those organizations and companies did what was best for them. Keep going strong, you have my support.

Under "View New Posts" thread tags are still in their old position.

I agree with Mr. 32 awards above me, lots of these people don't even know what they want. Upgrades are inevitable. You'll have to go to 2.x (or to another software completely) eventually, depending on what you're going to want to do. No matter what you chose, the theme can be made to look mostly like the old one, so that's not really an issue. These sorts of things happen, I recommend just fixing all of the small issues where there is only one way to fix them, then move on to the more fancy things. The things you don't know what to do about... hold them up to a vote, maybe. Or just wing it and do what you want. You're doing fine.

A majority of the people here are probably underage and don't know what it's like to experience change. I'm sure you've been in a similar situation before where something disagreed with you doing "x.x", but look where the site ended up? Successful as fuck. Ignore all the stupid mother fuckers and do your thing, you know what's best, or else you wouldn't be where you are today. Most of these kids are scared of change and want what they're used to. Change is NECESSARY, upgrades are necessary, that's how you keep up with the times. ![]() Quote:Under "View New Posts" thread tags are still in their old position. Is it I or the search function does not work? Haven't read all the bugs threads so I wouldn't know 😟
Also, people will get used to the theme in a few months. It's not like they will leave just because of that. |
