Personal Development
This is the second specialised recruitment thread hosted by Terminal. For more information about our general recruitment click here and for more information about our coding recruitment click here.

As an individual who believes in the importance of personal development, I will be hosting a group with the intention to provide those with a similar interest in becoming personally and professionally more competent an opportunity to do so. The concept will be based on group accountability and check-ins, whereby you will communicate one QUANTIFIABLE goal and steps to achieving this goal. This will be open to all members of the forum and communication will primarily be communicated through a private Discord channel in the official Terminal Discord.

1. Tell me about yourself

Not much to say about myself besides well I am your
average Joe who can be lazy at some points but
gets the job done regardless, I enjoy gaming
and programming, cooking along with pentesting and
watching cats jump across the moon

2. What are you currently doing in your life, and how does that relate to your long and short term goals?

Ah well that is an interesting question I mean all I do is sit on this device called a Chair and search this mystical
world of the internet using such tools as an input device that is most often used with a personal computer. Moving a along a flat surface.
But even though it sounds bad it really is not, I make money from the net Like making websites or cleaning malware off a device
but the one thing I love the most is knowing I am helping that person by fixing their device. Well my long term goal is being
one of the best programmers and users not just on this site but in general so it relates by me helping users and
creating programs and releasing them to better the community for us all. My short term goal is learning to use the power of
technology and create new inventions, It relates to the main subject as the long term, to better our world and people.

3. What aspect of your life would you like to improve, and how would you go about doing that?

One major aspect of my life I would want to improve is not being lazy and better my cooking skills
How are you improving you may ask? well for starters I have been using this language called python
to automate some of my tasks so I may practice cooking and cleaning, there for making me less
lazy and a better cook!

#I do not know if you mean in word but forgive me if you do#

In my honest opinion the death penalty is quite cruel, I mean from what I have
seen and heard you are strapped down and you watch your own life fade away
the doctors inject you with different things (slow down heart, etc) and
I think that is just wrong, I think that if you were given a death penalty
you should be allowed to live but forever be imprisoned, so you may pass
a more peaceful death rather than needles and what not, but this is just
my own thinking, I know some will judge me for it but well life goes as
it goes
1. Tell me about yourself
Currently a college student trying to make a living. Got into web development with free forum systems and developing plugins and extensions for those, usually modifying ones that were already out. I'm currently trying to learn C++ and I want to teach myself how to program C++ for Windows pretty soon. We've only been programming on linux in class, but to be honest I've only wanted to program for Windows as my ideas don't really have any place on linux, at least for the time being.

2. What are you currently doing in your life, and how does that relate to your long and short term goals?
I'm currently going to college as I said, going to go see my family out of state for thanksgiving soon. Currently I'm studying up on whonix again for a project that I have in mind. It relates to my short term goals because I need whonix to work properly in order for me to move forward with my plans, and if my plans are successful I'll be able to move forward with my other pipedream plans after that, if you catch my drift.

3. What aspect of your life would you like to improve, and how would you go about doing that?
Probably my emotional responses to things as well as the way I approach learning about new things. I really haven't worked on studying much in my life as things usually come naturally to me, which has been a big struggle in my life recently.

About Me

I'm Pyd0n. I've never joined a HackForums group before and I'm very curious as to what they entail. I'm from Australia and I'll be frank, I love drugs. My favorite drug is LSD and I adore psychology - I hope that helps you understand what kind of person I am. I love being the dude outside the house peering in through the window - it's my favorite perspective. I'm far from intelligent but don't let that fool you. I'm a very honest person and I am loyal to those that are loyal in return. I seek a community that is fun, a community that is friendly and at the same time competitive yet always willing to lend a helping hand if need be. Oh, I love terminals too.

Current

Right now in life, I am content with who I am and who I am going to be. Sure, I've made mistakes but from experience that's the best way to learn.

Life Improvement

I want to take less drugs but I just can't find anything as magical and entertaining. I feel like I definitely take life for granted.

Death Penalty

In my country, the death penalty is illegal. I completely agree with this. Why? Because knowing you will rot away in a prison cell forever, to me, would be far more painful than death. Worse, imagine being put to death if you didn't even commit the crime, which I have no doubt has occurred before.
1. Tell me about yourself
This is a very general question to answer and pretty hard aswell but i'll try and hopefully you'll appreciate it.
I've learned to become self made, i don't work for anyone but i do earn as if i work for 2 which is something i'm proud on.
I do have alot of things i want to improve myself on overtime out of business perspective, yes i know how to earn but i get bored fast which is also something that i'm still trying to understand but just can't so far.
I understand that long term partnerships are more profitable for everyone, i'm not some skid and i'm always on the lookout for new projects to partner up with or to invest in.
At the moment looking to expand my knowledge and maybe make an industry switch overtime.

2. What are you currently doing in your life, and how does that relate to your long and short term goals?
My current life goals mhmm..
For starters i'm saving to buy my own house in the long terms.
My short term goals is to improve my relationship, i'm online way to much i gotta admit that.
My mid term goals are to have several new projects online which i'm thinking off.
Another short term is 1 main project i started on yesterday, a private forum nothing to monetize with just for time spending.

3. What aspect of your life would you like to improve, and how would you go about doing that?
As stated in 2. i want to improve my relationship by trying to spend more time on here instead of making money online.
i also want to learn how to properly devide my time between online life and real life. its hard for me to shut down the computer when i'm earning everyday, i tend to stay up late.. to late..

4. Give us your opinion on the death penalty in a 150-250 word article.
Yes i'm in favor off the death penalty but not in all cases.
In my opinion some human beings do not deserve to live anymore because for example they have ruined others lives of innocent people by multiple times raping female or even murdering people.
These people are taking lifes so maybe it sound a bit harsh but why do they deserve to live? They arent worth 6 other human lifes for example knowing that he could kill 6 more... where is the logic in that.
Protect the innocent is what i strongly stand for with my whole hearth and if some corrupted heavily pschycho people gotta be taken down so innocent childrend and female and people in general can live in peace i'm definitely in favor of the death penalty.

In the other hand, this should not be done when some comitted for example 1 murder or did 1 thing very wrong in his life.
This individual can still be helped to improve his life overtime and there are chances that if his punishment is heavy enough and he get proper help to integrate back into society he should be given the chance to prove himself.
This also because we obviously don't want to give the death penalty to the innocent, it happened before that innocent people have been released from jail after YEARS being in jail cuz of sudden new proof popping up or new technology whatever.
1. Tell me about yourself - I don’t like fat people and I am not fat. I’m skinny. I’m in my mid 20s. I am a huge fan of sexual intercourse.
2. What are you currently doing in your life, and how does that relate to your long and short term goals? I’ve been trying really hard to lose my virginity because I think being able to sexually satisfy my partner will result in a successful domestic partnership.
3. What aspect of your life would you like to improve, and how would you go about doing that? I would like to start making some serious money so I’ve been looking at the many legitimate ebooks members on Hackforums has to offer.
1. Tell me about yourself

I'm a 19 years old from Montreal, Canada I am fluent in French & English I go to college and enjoy gaming in my spare time, I also run a YouTube which has around 60,000 subs which is more of a personal thing though. I also am addicted to TV Shows / Movies.

2. What are you currently doing in your life, and how does that relate to your long and short term goals?

As stated above I go to college, currently studying web design but as for my long term goals, I'm really unsure at the moment, I can't see what I picture myself doing in the future, but short term I make money online mostly.

3. What aspect of your life would you like to improve, and how would you go about doing that?

I'd say I'm as happy as I can be, I wouldn't really want to change anything as I don't see it as an improvement, I have some issues which would be great to get sorted out, but it's nothing that I can help nor improve.

[G]ive us your opinion on the death penalty in a 150-250 word article.

I don't like it for one reason - I worry we'll get it wrong. How many times in just the past 20 years have we seen a prisoner's innocence proven thanks to advancements in DNA testing and so on?
Don't get me wrong, there are people who don't deserve to live. Some of them I'd love to flip the switch myself. But I'd rather err on the side of caution. Put them in jail. Once you take their life, there's no coming back.
1. Tell me about yourself

Hey Terminal,
I'm 21 years of age and I'm a "decently" professional person I'd say, in the right circumstances of course. I've been in school studying multiple fields of IT and have landed myself a decent part-time job at a produce company helping out with mass WDS installs and employee IT problem calls. I'm still continuing my studies for the next 4 months before i get my diploma then I'll be starting my 4 month paid internship at my college.

I'm also certified in the following:

Microsoft:
70-680 (Windows 7)
70-685 (Windows 7)
70-410 (Windows Server 2012)
70-411 (Windows Server 2012)
70-412 (Windows Server 2012)

CompTIA:
220-901 (A+)
220-902 (A+)
SY0-401 (SEC+)

EC-Council:
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

I plan on getting a lot more.

2. What are you currently doing in your life, and how does that relate to your long and short term goals?

As I've stated above I'm both studying and working in the IT field and they both relate majorly to my long term goals, which is hopefully becoming an asshole of an IT Manager at a huge company within the next 15-20 years. Short term goals do sort of relate to my school and work life as if I were to make a million dollars off of crypto I'd build my own IT business.

3. What aspect of your life would you like to improve, and how would you go about doing that?

I'd love to fix my anxiety problems, it really messes with me every time I take an exam or go in for a certification I make it through but the 24 hours before the tests I feel like crawling into a hole and dying telling me self over and over I'm going to fail so I might as well reschedule. I am working on this as we speak and have been getting better every Exam/Cert I take. The best way I've found to deal with it is just face it and do it as often as you can to break it down more and more every time.

1. Tell me about yourself

Hello, I'm Tom, a 20 years old young man that currently lives in France where I'm building a company. I used to live in London and in Dallas, TX.
I start learning how to code since my age of 12. Since then, I keep on learning new technologies and keeping my knowledge as most up to date as possible.

2. What are you currently doing in your life, and how does that relate to your long and short term goals?

I'm a developer, I first started working part-time for a very small company in France, then moved to London and worked for Shap-ax where I learned a lot. After that, I came back to France in order to build my company which I am still doing.
My goal to run most of the web industry for luxury, watches, rings etc in France, in long-term, not only France.

3. What aspect of your life would you like to improve, and how would you go about doing that?

Health is the thing I actually NEED to improve, I just have to. I practice a lot of different sports, like tennis, football, soccer, I also like to run through all bars in my young city. I'm always up for a cold one, and that a problem for my health, but hey, I'm still young, it's time to have fun!

1. Tell me about yourself

I'm 20 years old, currently studying pre-med at a major university in the United States. I stumbled upon this site years ago but did not register until July. Since then I have found various ways to make money and increase my knowledge in various fields. I'm active on a few other forums and I'm constantly looking for new ways to better myself.

2. What are you currently doing in your life, and how does that relate to your long and short term goals?

While I am in my junior year at college, I still am unsure of what I want to do in life. You would think a third year undergrad student would have a solid plan for the rest of his life, but the truth is I don't. Right now I'm stuck between wanting to have a career in the medical field and wanting to become a businessman. I'm taking the time between now and when I graduate to figure out who I am and what I want to do in life. I really think this forum has helped me as it has allowed me to set goals for myself and improve on a daily basis. Some of my goals have been monetary goals while others have been in other areas such as the gym or school involvement. Some of my short terms goals are: make $2,000 by New Years, weight 180 lbs (always have had trouble gaining weight) by February of 2018, and start an organization at my school next semester. My long term goals are: make $100,000 by 2019, weight 200 lbs by 2019, and get accepted to medical school within 6 months of graduating.

3. What aspect of your life would you like to improve, and how would you go about doing that?

I would like to improve the social aspect of my life, more specifically the number of connections I have. I always thought the quote "It's not about what you know, it's about who you know" was overrated, but more recently I have seen the truth in it. Whether you're applying to med school, looking to expand your business, or even looking to learn another language, it definitely helps knowing the right person. Being social is something that also helps in other areas of your life, whether that be interactions with friends, colleagues, or girls. Aside from the social aspect of my life, I would also like to improve my time management skills. There are 24 hours in a day and they are the same 24 hours everyone else has; what you do with them is the key component in your success. I find myself wasting a lot of time on things that are not important. I would like to try and shift my focus more on things that could benefit me in the future such as grades and business opportunities.

Thanks for reading my application. Regardless of whether or not you accept me, I think you have a great group and a lot of potential.
