Secure cryptocurrency for Runescape real world trading

Right now we need trusted middlemen to engage in real world trading on any game from Runescape to whatever other games people real world trade on

Anyone know if it would be technically feasible to make a trustless cryptocurrency that somehow 100% securely hooks into the real world trading buyer and seller's game client after the buyer stakes some crypto, and only completes the transfer if the in-game trade successfully completed?

The entire point of crypto is to eliminate the requirement for trusted third party intermediaries, and this is an excellent application. I don't know if it's possible though, I'm doubtful, but there must be a way.

This would completely eliminate the market for trusted RWT middle men
Like Uber for cryptocurrency?

All in on Ethereum
the concept and idea is really nice

Doesn't work - the buyer can refuse to sign after the trade goes through

It’s impossible then. Unless you had some 3rd party for 2-3 multisig but then again it defeats the purpose.

Okay nvm it's 100% impossible to do securely unless Jagex gave us a way to interface it with the game itself

>Buyer and seller both stake the crypto amount for the trade into a pot
>Jagex has the final say in whether the pot it split evenly and returned to buyer and seller respectively, or whether the entire pot goes to the seller, based on whether the trade went through

Only Jagex knows 100% for sure whether the trade went through, it's impossible for anything else to know. Therefore this crypto idea is impossible.

I was just about to say this. You would need access from Jagex for anything like what you were describing and that simply won't happen.

Good idea though.
