Another pit bull attack this time they attack their OWNER

imagine if all the incidents are just fake news where's the proof.

Should clarify that I own a sweet pit mix who is scared of everything. Would shoot back at the guy quoted.
I have had several pits, and they are/were absolutely adorable. I have a full blood blue nose, and he is huge with rippling muscles. He loves everybody, even new strangers(not really a good thing, especially where we live). He roams free around our house and we have never had a problem with them. They have the most peculiar personalities and full of energy.

Poor lady in OP probably was trying to prevent her dogs from fighting with each other, or for trying to chase a squirrel, or she could even have been too rough with discipline. There are just some things you don't do with ANY breed of dogs.
Did anyone else pay attention to "puncture wounds in the skull" Second thing they say the first injuries were to the face/throat area. I really do not think this is a dog attack. Dogs make a mess of things, if anyone here ever has lived on a farm or has experience with feral dogs you will know what I am saying. Usually an animal is bitten down low to prevent escape or using the legs for a prolonged time. A puncture wound to the skull is not "normal" in a dog attack, but it is for other animals.

If her dogs did it they should be destroyed, but it isn't a reason to ban a breed. If anyone here remembers in the 80's doberman's were the death dog and in the 90's rotties .

Edit: My pit right now I know that she knows when not to do something, we had a friend who brought over their 2 yr old and my pit mix were playing with her ball, well she knew that although she couldn't see his hand and only saw the ball she knew not to try and grab the ball as his hand was there. Owners have to set limits and boundary's for their dogs. If her dogs did this and I am being very serious it doesn't sound like it from a few little details that they gave but don't line up with dog attacks something serious had occurred like no rules were set for those dogs.

If anyone wants check out Rancher's Guide To Predator Attacks on Livestock you will see that the attack doesn't fit the pattern of a dog attack.

why tf would the media be against pit bulls? you make no sense.

Ratings .. look at when they do sweeps they have everything is sex. Because unfortunately most people are uninformed and cannot decern between real and bullshit they end up thinking Facebook is "news" . There are a few things that make good stories, sensational stories , stories about sex, stories about abuse of power, and stories about a perfect life gone to shit.

nah you reaching on this one.

Pit bulls were bred and trained not to display behavioral signals of their intentions so that they would have an advantage in the ring. For this treason pit bulls are known to attack without warning.

Nah people know more of what happens on Facebook than they do around them or their community.

What a fucking retard. Probably trying to spark some type of reaction and it damn well worked. If you're serious which I doubt but if thats the case all I have to say is you have an extra chromosome.
Uh... Its not uncommon for dogs to attack their owners depending on how they are raised, treated, and more, etc.

Only thing is pita make news more often because they are more lethal compared to other majority domestic dogs. Bruh you’re a trip for using this against pits.
Wow this is sad.
I would like to see the data in a graph form to better see the truth.
Percent of dog attacks per breed as a percentage of he breed.
God, this is such a bummer to see. I've had dogs my entire life. My parents and I got my pitbull-lab mix Lacy when I was 12. I'm 18 now and she is still one of the sweetest animals I've ever developed a relationship with...toward us.

When we first got her she was nice to everybody. I think that's because she hadn't developed a relationship with anything yet. It was as soon as she started realizing that we loved and cared for her that she became super protective. She bit a couple of my friends when I was growing up, one was pretty bad. If I'm ever staying the night at my parents house, the moment I wake up and start moving she starts squealing with joy and rubs against me as hard as she can.

There are a few cases that give pit bulls a bad name. Yes, there is absolutely no denying that they are one of if not the most aggressive breed of domesticated canine, but that is what you sign up for. I really can't imagine a pitbull killing its owner under any circumstance other than mental illness of the animal or a genuine threat by said owner, but I'm not always right.

First let us see what experts say about this dog owner who worked at a dog training facility.

Quote:A man who used to work with Stephens at a dog training facility told CBS 6 that Stephens was very experienced working with animals, and loved her dogs

Look at what Dr. Amy Learn states, there is more, sometimes DNR (Department of Natural Resources) or Fish & Game doesn't want to scare the public and so some things are not said. For example it was commonly said that mountain lions were not east of the Mississippi until photo's in NC/Michigan surfaced, same thing in Kentucky they call them "Ghost Cats" just a wandering animal supposedly from Florida.

Also not showing intention is purely a human trait, just like lying.

Dog's do not normally do these things, no matter the breed.  And the attack just doesn't fit the profile, of dogs. Usually they make a big mess, and for cattle you will see ears bit and legs as well initially.  I am sure that something is not being said, those dogs ran off her dad more than likely it was something other than those dogs.
Puncturing the back of the skull/neck area is a ambush predator hallmark.

Now onto sweeps and ratings

You got nothing else to say? No experience with any animals which you can refer to.  No experts that knew the victim and the dogs? Of course not because you have zero experience in some things. Now you find the need to insult me well done. You neglected everything that I wrote with evidence to back it up.
