Graduated College - BS in Computer Science

Hello all,

Last Sunday on December 17th I finally graduated college. After my 9th semester I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from University of Wisconsin - Madison. From here I just need to turn in a paper at Carthage College and I will earn a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from there in May. So I currently hold a bachelors degree and will be getting another in about 6 months.

I do not have any jobs lined up yet. A friend of mine might get me an interview where she works as a Systems Developer, but I'm not sure yet.

Here are some photos of me graduating last weekend!

Finally done. No more homework, no more essays, no more lectures, and soon no more serving tables for petty pocket change and living check-to-check. Time for a real job with great pay, benefits, and being a regular person!

Congrats Steve. Seriously proud of you. Enjoy your time now. Settle down for a while, work, do stuff.
Maybe for the future you'll consider getting a master. But after years of experience from working, a master won't be much else but a title.

Congrats on graduating. I would've graduated this past May had I not dropped out after freshman year lol.

If you are struggling and need someone to talk to about something or want to vent about your IRL problems, I am just one PM away.
Well done bro!!

I know degrees are the new college diploma and I'm not trying to hand you a backhanded compliment here, more like saying -- that shit is hard and you did it and I hope you go on to do all the things you want now.
Congratulations.
As a student of Computer Science & Digital Forensics- would you recommend any tools or resources that helped you out the most, for other people following a similar route?
Congratulations!!! I am majoring in computer engineering...would of gone into computer science but I'm not a big fan of coding. That's really cool man, next celebration is the nice job you get. Let us know when you get it. :)
wow what a nerd smh

Eyyyy congrats bro! Madison is a great school, you’ll forsure do great things with a degree from there. I study Finance at Whitewater, so I should hopefully be set too! Both are great schools, especially Whitewater’s for business which is why I chose it.

Thank you :😊 don't plan on getting a masters. Don't need it for CS. As you said it'd just be for the title!

Haha thanks man. I'll have 2 bachelors before I hit 23 so I still think I'm ahead of the game! Can't wait to start a career.

Unfortunately I don't have any recommendations for tools/resources that directly helped me with my Computer Science studied. Best advice I can give is to make nice with people in your classes so you can get help with programs when you need it. That was invaluable. Also use the TA office hours to their fullest.

Thanks! I happened to like the programming more than hardware which is why I didn't do Computer Engineering. Plus at my school the Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering programs are actually combined into one. NO THANK YOU

Nice job man! Currently half way through my sophomore year studying CS at another Big 10 university. Shits hard as fuck but is so rewarding and amazing, gave me a newfound respect for anyone even attempting it.
Dude apply for government jobs with the military. That's where the real money is. You get your salary plus insane benefits, virtually military benefits.
