Custom Build

Finally got my "re-build/loop" done!

Well sort of, I do plan to change a few things around with the tubing and eventually a new case better suited for custom loops.

Anyways here is the build:

Here are the loop items:

No real questions just a completed build.
Looks very nice. How are temps looking and how much did this cost you? 😝

CPU temps 4.6GHz @ 1.285v are 62-65C thats 10C lower than with the H90 AIO
Haven't really checked the GPU temps yet...

The Loop total was about $1500 CAD ($1150 USD)

The pc parts I don't remember the total on but from last fall to now the prices changed so I'll estimate the total build at about $3500 CAD ish ($2700 USD)
Can you post benchmarks stock vs OC'd?

Added more results in the post above this.
My current games, Cinebench R15 and SuperPi for the fun of it.

Also changed to the current pic of the loop.
All results updated with 32GB ram and latest driver, which lowered the scores on the synthetic benchmarks.....
While I wouldn't invest so much in cooling especially when benefits are not justified to me. I can tell you that the build looks clean. Thank you for providing benchmarks.

Why did you upgrade to 32GB? Usually this section insists that you need 8GB, max 16.

Well the thing is I was completely fine at the 16GB.....

I did some work for a family member and they had a link to a wishlist.... they bought the ram I had originally bought as payment because it went on sale... It is a complete waste for the use I have of my PC and I state that.

Here is a comparison of my previous best FS score to the most recent run, with higher clocks it did worse mainly due to drivers and FS updates...

Updated with a current pic, changed fluid and thermal paste last night:

I will say this loop is a PITA to bleed the air out of.... even with the pump at full strength it took 3 hours of tilting the case to different angles to get the rads air free....
why not bend the tubing instead of using expensive 90 degree fitting?

Even though this is from several months ago I can help answer that: aesthetics and ease of building. It's a pain in the rear to bend tubing and make it look good.

Well I did do a bends only loop originally, I've changed it around several times...

Currently it's far different from those pics, I'm running a separate loop for the CPU and GPU now, I honestly am still not really happy with the look, I eventually want to get a better case and it's just not budget friendly right now.

But to answer the question of why so many fittings.... because I can I guess....
pretty neat pc

good job on it
