Hello I would like to generate a group discussion on the removal of iCloud from iPhone/iPad etc but in this case, my focus Is an iPhone 6. I realise iCloud is largely an anti-theft component but there is a bigger issue. when the iPhone or iPad is locked it turns into a brick. I understand some people have a moral issue for not contributing to the goal of disabling iCloud but the shear amount of waste generated by Old phones or computers, locked iPhones, locked iPads it is a serious environmental issue and an extremely wasteful way of dealing with property crime. So for the sake of the planet, please let's all work together at turning iPhone bricks into a item of the future, or at the very least, a phone.
From my limited research I think I have given up on finding an app or a service to remove or disable iCloud activation. I'm so sick of scams and advertising. I would love to hear of a working app or shortcut so please I love surprises.
I think the easiest option could be modification of hardware components, but again I have no expertise on the subject. I don't know if what I'm looking at is nonsense, a method exists on YouTube, a 3 component modification, does it really honestly work??? Who knows?? I have no knowledge on the inner workings of a phone or computer but I can work a solder and a brick is worthless to me so a bit of do it yourself soldering isn't scary, it's not like I'd test it on my working iPhone.
For those who may actually know how to fix the issue but don't want to contribute to the black market and weren't turned into tech environmentalists by my anti tech waste rant. The IPhone 6 in question has been sitting on a empty desk at work for approx 12months, nobody knows whose it is, or where it came from, perhaps somebody handed it in. So it just sits there, a waste of technology, a waste of craftsmanship and design. Please experts get serious and solve this issue, the planet needs you. Start with iPhone 6 though ?

Wow.. can you edit your post, change font size and colour and maybe people can read it.
"So for the sake of the planet"
Hahahhaa, I'll give it to you, you're creative.
Had a good laugh!
This is a lost cause, simple as that !!
You can try removal, either by GSX account on a clean device, or via phishing.

Can you write up a short summary on the GSX method you're mentioning? Or maybe link some details ? I'd appreciate it 🤝
Can you link to the soledring video ? I never done any research on this matter and I don't have any Iphone to test on it but I'm curious about it since I see a lot of people selling Icloud locked devices for nothing.

I will find that soldering YouTube video later today, I did just have another idea about a possible different method. We could be going about this the wrong way. iCloud can be unlocked via apple if what?? correct information is supplied?? Does anybody know if there is a way to reveal the full email address?? For example, if I had the email address I could threaten and intimidate to get the remaining info...just a joke. But at least I could offer them their phone. I will have to finish this post later because whenever I use hack forums my iPhone starts to lag heaps which concerns me a little bit.
Below are locations to the supposed iCloud removal hardware method. It's 3 chips that are removed and replaced. HDD, Baseband and chip. I know nothing about the hardware and electronics, but it seems to make sense. The one catch is the price these 3 chips cost, I have no idea but I think that may be the issue. So I then think about maybe moving from one dead phone to another maybe, the phone would have to be dead from another symptom than the iCloud lock though. Also the chip and the baseband are a pair and must come from 1 source.

I am not allowed to post "working links" as I am anew user, hopefully you can still decipher my intended location and at the same time hopefully admin will understand that it's In response to a post and hopefully my modifications don't get me kicked.
Disabling the iCloud via hardware consist of removing every components that has the IMEI written on it, on the iPhone 6 in example, the IMEI is written on 5 different components of the phone :
- CPU IC
- NAND Flash IC (Hard disk)
- eeProm IC
- Baseband IC
There also is the Home button on the iPhone that has the IMEI written on it however this isn't crucial for the iPhone to function, if the IMEI doesn't match you won't have the fingerprint option on the home button but it will still be functional.
All of those ICs needs to be desoldered and replaced with a set of new components, all coming from the SAME IMEI and reballed on the original board itself, if the IMEI doesn't match on one of those four ICs the phone will not boot properly, there are sites that sells sets of those ICs coming from an iCloud unlocked board, already desoldered for you all you need to do is to reball the chips and heat them on the board, this requires alot of skills to do however.
Also to mention that the price for those set of ICs usually range around 100 USD for the iPhone 6, and an iPhone 6 now can be purchased around 265$ USD as seller refurbished so I don't see the purpose of doing this anymore.
I am currently working on trying to find a cheaper method remove the iCloud, especially on the newer devices because it would be extremely profitable seeing eBay is literally filled of iPhones 6,7 and 8 that are iCloud locked and they're retailing at around 150-200$ as iCloud locked and can be sold at 600$ as fully functioning so there's a huge gap of profit in between that could be exploited.
Another method would be to remove the ICs and read/rewrite them so you could change the IMEI/Clone it but as far as I am aware this would be impossible to do because everything is encrypted.
Last method is via software removal but as some knows this is 99% of the time a scam, some people attempts to request an unlock of a device via a GSX account but rarely works on newer devices, especially north american devices.
If anybody is interested into this and wants to collaborate with me on this inbox me.
Ok so from things I've read is the iCloud lock is on the logic board. Are the IC's mentioned above all found on the logic board? So if you replace the iCloud locked logic board with one that isn't unlocked what happens? It would be unlocked right? But would you still go through the initial setup process without having to provide the email and password to the previously locked iCloud account, or would you automatically be taken to the home screen? If you make it to the home screen would the person's iCloud still be logged in in the settings? If it is then you could do the trick to turn off find my iPhone and then delete the account, and then sign into your iCloud, turn on find my iPhone and go to iCloud and put it into lost mode so that when you restore it's asking for your email and iCloud instead of the other one...then maybe when you put the iCloud locked logic board it may work then ? Or would it go back to it's previous state of iCloud locked with the others info? Or when you switch to the unlocked logic board there's no previous iCloud info still on the phone ?
If it works the first way then you could use an unlocked iPhone 6 for example, and move the logic board to the locked iPhone 6 , get rid of the iCloud info, put in yours, go to iCloud and report phone as lost, restore the phone with the same logic board then once you get it activated using your iCloud info, switch back to the locked logic board and see what happens. If that doesn't work, maybe switch to the locked logic board before restoring.
Not sure if any of this would work but there's a chance, and if it does you could buy up multiple iPhone 6's and do the same over and over.
Interesting thread, I am pretty sure that some guys figured how to solve this but keeping it for themselves because of profit.

Because some people don't support theft. There is no legitimate reason to bypass iCloud lock especially since Apple will bypass it for you with proof of purchase from an authorized retailer. This is something I am adamantly against helping people with because 99.9999999999999999999999% of the time its a stolen phone no matter how good of a story people try to tell.
As far as unlocking goes, it's a matter of just replacing the proper chips. Not difficult if you know what you are doing.
So I found this YouTube channel called "iFix iFone" and in his videos it seems he's in a class with several others learning different iPhone related things including how to get rid of iCloud unlock manually, but also using software. It also seems like they have a program that shows all the inside components of the iPhone down to the micro stuff and also machines that seem to be made for unlocking purposes. Don't know if he'll put anything in the future that may help us figure a way out.

Yeah this is far from not difficult, you don't just "replace the proper chips", you need to cut the glue inbetween these clips and the capacitors/resistors surrounding it or else they'll get pulled with it, removing the chip is the easy part, good luck reballing the new chips also, this is not something you learn to do in under a few days and you can easily pull pads off which leads to a potential useless board, the time and work it takes to do this job (removing iCloud hardware) is not worth the small profit you may make selling back the iPhone, it's way tougher and takes much more longer than what you see on videos.

Definitely not worth it just for a iCloud bypass, if any, but don't make it seem so grim.
It's actually pretty easy if you're a highly technical person. Reballing isn't that hard tbh. Just need patience and the right tools 🤝

Yeah the fact that you mention reballing so vaguely means that you've got no clue about reballing really.
