Samaritan: A charitable or helpful person
The Computer Division covers a wide array of fields in computing, including but not limited to technical aspects such as hardware and software. The purpose of this thread is to recruit the initial members that would help me organize the division in its early stages. That being said, the following positions and corresponding slots are open for applications:- Hardware Guru (1) - Applicants for this position are preferred to have intermediate hardware knowledge (ex. what usually comprises a modern computer) as well as troubleshooting experience. Note that hardware isn't just about the components that makes up a computer, but anything electronic in general such as smart devices are also considered as hardware.
- Software Specialist (0) - Applicants for this position are preferred to have intermediate understanding on how software is made and how it actually works. Knowledge in any programming/scripting language is a plus, but knowledge on concepts, designs, techniques, and architecture is also highly valued and considered.
- Network Administrators (2) - Applicants for this position are preferred to have intermediate background on networking, preferably in the modern context with topics such as networking and decentralized networks.
- Hatters (0) - Applicants for this position are preferred to have intermediate skill set on hacking and the art of exploitation in general. White and grey hats are preferred, but black hats are also very much welcome under the condition that they should strictly observe HF rules on disallowed BH activities. Any threads or posts that pertains to said topics must have my approval as the division leader.

Interested applicants MUST:- Be devoted to helping the community in general - I cannot stress enough how important this particular requirement is. All members of the user group are expected to live up to the group's name. Being a Samaritan doesn't require one to be holy, at least not in this case. You are, however, required to be as helpful as you can be to anyone,
regardless of the circumstance.
- Have at least 25 quality posts - Preferably helpful and informative threads/posts related to the position you're applying for. This is also to certify your dedication to the community, your basic eligibility as a helpful user to the Samaritan user group, as well as to enable your PMs.
- Have no open deal disputes - Credibility and trust goes hand in hand and adds a sense of security for the community when you try to help out other users.

I sometimes come around and poke a few threads before leaving for a few months again.

I am sure you would make a great addition to Samaritans.
However, I would recommend that you submit a proper application.

Hey buddy, as Bowman said, feel free to craft a decent application post. There ain't much requirement for it, content-wise. Just state the position you want to take up in the division if ever and back it up with proof. If you can have that by this weekend, you'll get feedback by this weekend too. Otherwise, no rush. Recruitment will be open to everyone for a month or as long as there are still positions to be filled.

The reason why we ask for past quality posts is to prove that you would be a good contribution to the group.
