VPN PORT FORWARD RAT HELP

I am trying to port forward through private internet access for nanocore.  In PIA I check request port forwarding in the settings and set the local port to 2000 and the remote port to auto.  I then reconnect PIA with the new changes and it provides me with a random port number (ex:1234)  that is supposed to be used as the listening port.  I set the listening port in nanocore to 1234 and I build the RAT with a connection port of 2000.  The RAT runs, but does not connect.  I also tried to set the listening port the same as the connection port, but the same outcome happens.  The RAT is running, but it seems to not be connecting through the ports.  What am I missing?
The port your are listening on and the connection port need to be the same also try disabling your firewall.
I'm not using HF much, expect long reply times.
My old XMPP ([email protected]) is dead, use [email protected] instead.
Get crypticvpn instead and dont use nanocore

I got it to connect with the same listening and connection port via PIA. I had to use my internal IP address for PIA instead of the public IP. My problem now is how am I to create a consistent connection through the port in PIA while keeping the same IP address?

Stay signed into the server that you used on PIA. Use a DNS so you can change servers on the fly and being able to use the same .exe

What do you mean use a DNS to keep the same .exe?

How about also using a port other than 2000.. that is for cisco-sccp, usually you also want to go higher on ports expect that anything sub 10000 will be looked at, harder higher ports generally are considered as OS ports. Having a DNS service/entry to point at your IP would allow that payload to connect although you are switching servers on your VPN. Stay away from duckdns also.
