I fixed a couple bugs today on HF.

1. There was a bug with thread titles having the character "*" in them. It's related to this MySQL bug:
https://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=78485 The bug is part of MyBB because the "similar threads" feature we have enabled doesn't FTS clean the keywords. MyBB has the function but doesn't clean the titles properly. Could potentially be an exploit even. I plan on reporting it asap.

2. Trust Scan was having issues with latest IP matching other members when the member had an IPv6. Still working on upgrading a ton of code to not only be IPv6 friendly but to take advantage of some of the functions MyBB added in 1.8x. Should be all good now though. I think I have it fixed.

I found both of these bugs from the error logs I keep which I am checking regularly. They alert me to bad queries and other issues that MyBB has. Some of these bugs I have found recently I fixed in 1.6x but the code has to be applied again for 1.8x which is almost all clean files. This time however I hope to report as many of these issues to MyBB as possible for future fixing in base.

Maybe, I wish I had my old account. When I saw HF first time through projenic I was like what kind of forum is this..it was so minimal and different. Hardly anyone was using mybb that time, most forums were using either phpbb or vbulletin. I didn't liked the way it looked but I still went ahead and did registration and I guess it was the best thing I did.

This is so crazy, 8 years ago I joined this forum being just a kid.
And even though fixes and updates happens, HF is still a long way down the road, the same forum I signed up for.
This is almost nostalgic.
