What is Hack Forums Monthly ?

"Hack Forums Monthly" is a magazine posted on the website written by the community. It covers various subjects such as news, technology, science, philosophy, gaming and others ! It will be published every month. Join the team for a chance to create something awesome and showcasing your writing work.



How can you help ?

The "Hack Forums Monthly" Division is looking for "Writers" who can write an article about a subject they love discussing, "Editors" who can format and check for typo erros, grammar mistakes in articles, "Artists" who can brand the magazine making it look ass-kicking.

By joining the magazine you also become a Samaritans group member.

We are recruiting "Writers" for these topics:

Requirements once invited

Once you have successfully joined Samaritans "Hack Forums Monthly" Division, you will be required to do the following:
[+]"Writers": Write at least one article monthly that's approved by me in your designated magazine section.
[+]"Editors": Format and spellcheck at least two Writers articles monthly.
[+]"Artists": Help creating the visual aspect of the Magazine monthly.

What position are you applying for ? If "Writers" what topic ?
- I'm applying for a Writers position. Topic is either Vices or Psychology.

Why do you want to join?
- It would be great to work on this monthly HF magazine. I have a lot of knowledge I would like to share as well as upcoming subjects regarding either Vices or Psychology.
In high school I also wrote the monthly magazine of our school, had a lot of fun doing it and got great feedback.


Do you understand this isn't an easy task?
- I fully understand, it has to meet up to your standards. It can take some hard work, but the result is incredible.

Are you committed to do this every month ?
- I sure am, would love to spend some of my time each month to write a good article for the magazine.

Why do you want to join? Browsing the lounge soon gets boring. It would be a cool acomplishment to have a written, edited and published article put out to members of the community every month. Not only that but I want to expand my skillset and start putting out articles professionaly as side-income.

Do you understand this isn't an easy task? I think if you really put your mind to something that you enjoy anything can become 'easy'. I would like to be in a posistion where my work I put a lot of effort into can be seen by a group of people that will appriceate it

Are you committed to do this every month ? My after work time consists of gaming, working on side projects and chilling out. If I can put my mind to something more productive then I can without a doubt become commited; even on bad days.

Why do you want to join?
I'm can be an extreme "grammar nazi" at times, I can easily pick out spelling, punctuation and grammatical mistakes quickly, even extremely small ones. I feel that I fit the criteria for this position perfectly.

Do you understand this isn't an easy task?
Yes, I understand that this task could be challenging at times and I sometimes may not be interested in the article I am editing, though I will not let that prevent me from fulfilling my task.

Are you committed to do this every month ?
Yes I am more than happy to do this every month, I would do this multiple times a month if needed.

Why do you want to join?: I saw a unique opportunity brought up by The Worker himself via a PM to me. I need a new way to engage on HF as I'm spending all of my time in the crypto section. I'm currently a part of a crypto group but its entirely dead.

Do you understand this isn't an easy task?: Nothing in life is easy if its done right.

Why do you want to join?
Because I'm tired of HackForums groups being misused and I think it's time to do something about it. If we can collectively start actually doing activities on-site, participating, and putting forth real effort maybe we can help groups become great again.

I'm well aware this isn't an easy task, which is why I'm applying. If it was easy it wouldn't be worth it.

I have a stay at home job, so I can commit plenty of time to this every single month needed.

- Writers, specifically sports but can also do gaming/music.

- I am interested in bettering the community by collaborating with others in the group to release this magazine. I would love to write an article on sports for the community to see and to improve my writing skills further.

I am applying for either artist or writer, I would be very interested in doing either of them.
If I get accepted for Writers I would mainly be interested in doing sports but would also be open to doing another topic if needed!

Why do you want to join?
I would love to join as I have not been a member of a group for a long time and it would be nice to feel apart of a community again.
I also enjoyed my time in Writers when I was apart of the HF News and think it would be fun to do something like that again!

Yes I understand this wont be an easy task, but I feel like my previous experience with the HF News team will help a-lot.

Why do you want to join?: Writing is one of my biggest accomplishments. I would do anything to become a big writer. When I write it let's my feelings out when i'm not able to talk about them. Writing on a piece of paper is always fun and always helps me to release some stress. I also like to think of stories to write about. The greatest feeling is sitting somewhere and you see something interesting that you can write about. I have been a writer since I was younger and always have had passion for it and would love to go further with it. But an accomplishments I have is earning some awards and trophies for my writing. Also when I was in school I attended the UK Radio 2 500 Word piece and became 7th out of 240,000 students across the country. That was an amazing accomplishment for me and will always remember how far I got in it. When I was younger, a few years ago I had a School Band which did some RnB Punk Music, I've moved onto EDM and Hip Hop lately because that's the genre everyone listens to in this current generation.

Do you understand this isn't an easy task?: Of course it isn't. I would do anything to support the group in any way.
