As most of you know me as the lounge whore that I am, I have my moments to be high quality - I would like to give you this step by step guide on how to tag and mention other users in other threads/posts. Most of you are aware of the new "Alerts" feature, you will need to have enabled for this to work. Hopefully, this will get improved and it won't be as much work but be grateful I figured out how to do it!

What you will need:

• An account on hackforums.net
  
• Common Sense
  
• Friends to tag/mention
  
• "Alerts" feature enabled
  

Congratulations, if you meet the requirements for this method you may now proceed to the actual method! I'm going to try to simplify it as much as I can so even a brand new user can figure it out.  

First step:

Find a thread or post you would like to mention your friend in (Meme, Serious, Or for no reason at all.)

Second Step:

Click the quote button as shown in the image below

You should get a text like this

and now all you have to do is go to the first quote and add ="Username"
For example:

Third & Final Step:


Make it fancy example:

Feel free to try it out and try mentioning someone on this thread and show them how it works and maybe a easier way will come up to mentioning and tagging
