Do your parents resent you for owning anime merch? |

To my parents, it's not a matter of resentment but more of a concern that I'm shelling out so much money on a fictional figurine.. that money could have been used for better purposes, you know? Anime figurines are quite expensive in Malaysia. An average price for a figurine (RM60-100+, $15-25+) can easily fill my stomach breakfast/lunch/dinner for 2-3 weeks.
no not rly
i got my parents into those cartoons anyway so at least they understand the appeal behind some of the less trashy ones, like nge and akira:) and sometimes i do buy cool stuff related to animays, not just dolls but i got the red kaneda akira jacket and parents thought it was actually rly nice.

I don't buy anime merch; my friends buy it for me without me asking. As a result, I have three pieces of anime merch: a custom shirt, an Eli Ayase nenderoid, and a Monika (I guess that's not really anime?) key chain.
My mom thinks they're superheroes so she ended up buying me a Studio Ghibli themed lanyard lol (May 16, 2018 01:17 PM)The Host Wrote: Does your parents know you collect fences and doors Does your parents know you sell OGs? (This is Anish btw) |
