Quote:If accessing and using FaceTime in those previously restricted regions is something that you are interested in doing then we have all of the necessary information for you below. You simply need to invest a very small amount of your time to make it happen.
Requirements:
In order to navigate through the file system as root, on a non-jailbroken device, you will need to have the FilzJailed app installed. This is a file explorer app for the iOS directory structure which bundles in the Ian Beer exploit to allow access to directories but only on iOS 11.0 through iOS 11.1.2.
Alternatively, if you do happen to be jailbroken, then you just need to have a regular file explorer installed on the device, such as iFile or Filza.
Step 1: On your device running iOS 11.0-11.1.2, open up the file explorer on the device and navigate to the following directory: /var/mobile/Library/CarrierBundle.bundle
Step 2: Inside of that directory you will find a property list (plist) called Carrier. Open that file. Click on the “+” to tell the explorer that you want to amend the file and add a new entry.
Step 3: Make sure you type in AllowsVoIP as the entry and set its type to be boolean. Save that new entry into the carrier.plist file.
Step 4: Make sure that the AllowsVoIP is turned on in the carrier.plist file and exit by tapping on Done.
Step 5: Exit the property list, the file explorer app, and entirely reboot the device. Once it has rebooted you should notice that FaceTime is now active and offered as a service on that device.
Facetime is prohibited on UAE phones because it is illegal in that country. Have you tried inserting a SIM card from a carrier outside of that country? Otherwise, follow the steps provided above.
