Hey guys,

I found out this rep system design in MyBB that allows you to double rep people every 24 hours. This means that you can give unlimited rep to anyone you want.

Steps:

1. Give the user a reputation through his profile (Optional)
   
2. Wait 24 hours.
   
3. Go to any post that the user has made, and click the "Rate" button to give him another rep.
   
4. Wait 24 hours.
   
5. Go to another post that the user has made, and click the "Rate" button to give him another rep.
   
6. Repeat this step every day for an entire year and the user would have a reputation of 1095

What exactly is the logic behind this?
You can only give 1 reputation through someone's profile, this is because you are giving your "opinion" about the user itself.
But what many don't know, is that you can also rate every message that has been posted by that user. Because you'd be giving your opinion about that specific "post" and not about the user.
So with this logic in mind, MyBB made it possible to give someone multiple reputations.

But is it allowed?

So this basically means I can neg rep someone everyday?
Yes you can, but I doubt that Omni will appreciate that since it might count as harassing users. So I recommend not to use this for such purposes. Keep it positive and enjoy the green apples. ;)

Seeing threads like these.. I would understand if the old reputation system was still in tact, but I don't get it why do people still care about reputation..
