Don't Fall For Educators Bul1$h1t

Hello fellow HF members.

I just wanted to throw up this information for everyone to read as I've lurked this section of the forum for a long time and I've seen repeated types of posts/requests from people to help them invest. What to do? What should I put my money into? Most newbie traders look for the easy road and have someone really hold their hands with trading/investing. I personally have traded futures, stocks, options part-time and full-time in the past. The grind is tough and real. How many trades did I win on? Probably around 45%. It's tough! But these educators out there prey on  newbies because they don't know better and they can flash youtube videos, instagram pics, social media posts showing a lavish lifestyle. It's pure 100% A-grade BULLSHIT! I'd like to shine a bright beam of light on the fact that you should run and stay away from these educators.

What is an Educator?

An educator in the trading world is someone who provides their chatroom service or educational material that supposedly will help you achieve profitability in your trading. Their business is solely based on how many subscribers they can pull in or how many e-classes they can sell. In addition the bigger educators have agreements with some brokers as well. They also get referral kick backs for every new client they bring over to the broker. In addition, their trading is either fake or manufactured to appear legit. They typically show some type of "fake" trading history showing profitability over a long period of time. Sometimes the "results" they flash on their sites are so absurd. Showing a winning percentage of 75%+ or more of all trades. That's absolutely crazy. Real professional traders who make the big bucks never operate with that type of win rate. So whenever you see that run.
Below are some examples of these fake traders who create a facade and lure newbies into:

There's tons of others out there but these have always stood out to me.

There is NO holy grail

Ahh the holy grail. The secret sauce that everyone always is in search of. Some newbies believe that jumping in and trading is easy because of what these educators say. They portray everything as if it's super easy and within a few months of learning you too will become wealthy and can quit your job. Let me be very clear! There is no holy grail. There is no secret sauce. If you really really want to trade full-time and make a living investing, managing a portfolio, day trading, you're going to have to put in YEARS of work to even scratch the surface. The emotional state you have to be in order to hit the button to take a 2k loss on a position is something extremely hard to explain. Most can't handle it. So.. again.. hard work, research, learning, testing a strategy, sticking to that tested strategy, all the while managing risk and emotions take years. YEARS. This doesn't happen in a few months.

These educators prey on the fact that you have not a clue how the markets work. They tap into your middle class mindset, insert the notion that with their secret method or trading strategy, that you too would be able to break the shackles of the full-time work schedule and have financial freedom. If it sounds too good to be true...  🙃

How to Spot Bullshit From Educators

Here is a conversation I had with the head trader over at bullsonwallstreet inquiring about his trading success and asking for proof before buying into their class:

Does anyone see the issue here? Whenever an educator will not provide any type of brokerage statement showing the trades he takes in his live chatroom you fucking RUN! Run away as fast as you can. Why wouldn't he provide anything? Likely because his trades in his chatroom aren't real. He just wants you to pay for his chatroom/class. His bootcamp class runs around 2k.

There's been confirmations in the past that he's on a paper trading account shouting out calls in the live chat that everyone is trying to fade him on. He'll appear to make money on the trade as when you have 100+ people buying into a volatile, low float stock you obviously will see a pump in price. It's a simple game he's playing.

Youtube videos that show some crazy lifestyle that he promises you too can have!

Hopefully you're getting the point here.

Are There Any Legit Educators/Teachers/Mentors?

Very few. But yes there are some out there. You really have to be careful in who you hand over money to teach you the ways of the stock market. Anyone willing and able to provide legit brokerage statements that match what they're providing in a chatroom will be someone I'd trust more so. Verifying their trading activity and making sure they aren't promising some wild ride life style should be your 1st step.

If you really want to dive deep into it even more to learn how brokers, market makers, educators operate please take 2 hours and watch this video from beginning to end. Anton Kreil is the speaker in this seminar and he absolutely speaks the truth. He's a former head trader at places such as Goldman Sacs, Lehman Brothers and J.P. Morgan. He is a professional. He has hit the button on trades thousands of times. So take a moment... if you're serious watch this. It will open your eyes.

Also... Don't forget about the 90-90-90 rule.
90% of traders lose 90% of their account in 90 days. Fact.
Thanks for reading.  🤝
It's sad to see people waste a few hundred dollars on something that ultimately won't help them become successful you have to lose some to learn. I haven't personally traded stocks but trying to transition soon from crypto into stocks but the fundamentals are similar.
Trading is an individual sport.

If signals work, everyone would be rich.

Before trusting a mentor, ask them for their track records.

80-90% traders fail, trading is all about psychology. Trust me.
That was an interesting read. Good stuff
thanks mate

Due to being scared after losing or lack of research but I agree
Lol you must see this video. Jeremy wants you to pay $100 per month for his membership group or buy his "mastery" course for $600. You can find information about stocks for free on the internet. It is only good if you want to support him. I wish him the best. He needs to pay the bills food, rent, electricity etc.

It's sad that people actually fall for this bullshit. The tai lopez's of trading
stupidity breeds success

They are marketers, not traders, and sadly people fall for it.

The best way to learn the market is through your own failures.
interested in interest

Then why doesn't he just trade more, if he can predict everything and make me a stock master surely he is a stock master and can day trade 30k/day? 🤣
Good thread. I'm shocked that people buy into these things, but those guys keep marketing their garbage because people buy it.
I really want to bring this back up for visability. I've come across some educators recently that were absolutely full of it. It made me think of this thread.

I hope that you all stay aware and safe.
So you want to say there are no people that can provide us with good signals ?

I don't think he means "no one"
Why actually work hard when you can sell ebooks and consult

Yeah, pretty much...

Think about it. If you are a profitable trader why give up part of your "edge" that you have against the field? Trading is a form of competition against others. If you truly have figured it out and are making good money why quit that to teach newbies? You are giving away a bit of your knowledge and trading edge against others. So, 90% of the time it's pure bullshit what these teachers are saying. 👹

These paid groups in crypto disgust me to be honest. Not one of them that I have encountered are able to provide verifiable proof of their "profitable" trading yet want to charge $xx/month to the next sucker for their winning calls. Seriously... go out there and start asking these group owners to prove their worth. Let me know what you find. 🤝
