Senior Investigating Officer Jo Goodall from the National Cyber Crime Unit said:
'Even the most basic forms of cyber crime can have a huge impact. The NCA and police will arrest and prosecute offenders, which can be devastating for their future.'
Nigel Collins, head of the West Midlands Regional Cyber Crime Unit said:
'The UK's position regarding denial of service is clear, it is volume crime that causes significant damage and disruption to UK businesses and communities. West Midlands ROCU have conducted a significant amount of work to understand this criminality and remain committed to working with our local and international partners to reduce this threat and divert young people away from crime, channelling their skills productively in the process.'

I mean you need to be a dick to DDOS in 2018...
Bleh
Been a while since I saw something from this account. Taking down those pests one at a time I see.
Oh hey, they're arresting the Skids!
I sometimes come around and poke a few threads before leaving for a few months again.

Good work but the low hanging fruit only goes so far.. How is the whole investigation going on the British Parliament members who had their passwords compromised going? They brute-forced passwords, I guess someone was asleep at the wheel when 100's of failed logins alerts went out.

First of all sry for bad eng.
Imo this action of yours looks more like a 'atleast we can arrest skids if not real problem makers'. We all know skids dont bother with attacking big companies etc. Instead they DDOS bcs of revenge or smth in online games etc, we know that u know that. Its rather simple to catch them while u can present them to public like they were some real threat. Yes, they were doing ilegal stuff and yes they should be prosecuted but there are wayyyyyy more bigger threats than they are.

It's too hard it's easier to go for low hanging fruit (aka skidz) and to spy on the citizenry. Why actually work when the public wants to feel good and that something is being done?

Seriously if you were at work, and suffered a major breach of your management, and went in saying you prevented the hackers from attacking any further because you revoked the janitor's access to a computer he used to order supplies you'd be fired. Same thing here suffer major breach, UK Govt passed a law to engage adversaries in cyberspace and instead they decide " Fuck it we will take down some sloppy attackers, and look good".

I'll put it in a different way, if a murder is committed and instead the police arrest a bunch of jay walkers you have not solved the major problem. You have not fixed anything, don't you think that advanced attackers would have a large amount of machines to do the same exact thing and blend serious attacks with a bunch of traffic? Why are these botnets not being engaged, we often read about the FBI taking them down? I get that nation states have botnets, and there maybe some political ramifications perhaps an escalation, that is understood yet any savy cyber warfare program would have some other assets for deniability.
I personally say good you stopped some attacks, but between businesses (43%) and charities (19%) in the UK reporting security breaches, And with 27% of businesses and 21% of charities with a formal policy covering security, you would be better served by helping businesses and charities have proper policies and procedures.

I guess from building a case viewpoint a service after seizing servers it's easier to build a case, but really think about upping your trade craft, it maybe hard and take a while I understand that, but by improving the advesary you engage you will also improve, getting better and more skilled.
Perhaps stop things like this:

I cant agree more with you.

Same like this. Again they did a good thing but not a important one. There are still milion of online stressers and again, there are still a lot of real problem makers laughing at both of these posts. Maybe they arent even capable of bringing down bigger botnets so its a lot easier to not do their job and get paid like this lol.
