No. I mean I'm speaking from experience at working at one of those companies at a high rank. I controlled all the accounts and storage on them, and I never heard or saw anything like that. Otherwise they would probably get into legal trouble.

Sure they can, but I don't think that they could do that ever. The consequences would be wayyyy to high.

The choice is yours.
I mean, probably not your whole PC, you'd be able to see outgoing requests of your whole PC files being sent over haha
If you mean if they back up your files, I think some of them might keep them for a small while, because let's say you store something illegal on there and you get reported to the FBI, they'd probably be able to get the files from Google Drive, but with services like Mega.nz you have the encryption key for your files, and only you so hence why many people store illegal stuff on there.

so I can use sync unecrypted files with google/mega sync programs and they wont open them?
Sounds kind of ridiculous, people get way to paranoid these days...

It'd be crazy like the amount of bandwidth and space for a even 10000 customers would be insane, someone would notice. This said I did see an intern wanting to image and exfil a whole machine during an engagement.
What would be the point of saving all the data on our PC? What’re they going to gain from it? It’s quite a bit to store all that data.
Nah, if they did people with limited bandwidth would instantly notice that terabytes of data has been uploaded to google instead of what would probably be gigabytes of data.

they could target only people with fast internet.
okay, so if they dont backup or entire pc, are your files safe there on their cloud or they can view them?
I LOVE sync feature because you can sync everything with their programs as you work.
but it will be all accessible by google workers and mega workers etc as it will have no password
possible fix would be to give password with rar archive or other crypting technique BUT thats not automatic anymore - it needs your intervention.
and i dont even think syncing is possible with encypted files, because they are ekhem, ENCRYPTED, but not sure,

I guess the solution is to not upload files that you don't want others too see, and keep private files backed up to an external drive.
