Method | GET RID OF BLACK BARS | Snapchat

ASPECT RATIO 16:9 | FIXING BLACK BARS ON SNAPCHAT | SWEET

This will be demonstrated in Windows 10 only, idk if Windows 7 has it but without confirmation that it does, you can use a batch resizer/rotater called FastStone Photo Resizer

For some of you that don't know how to change the resolution/aspect ratio for an image to be compatible (Not showing black bars) with a wonderful snapchat application called Sweet by Splunk, it lets you upload live pictures/videos without using the sticker method.

First find the picture of your choice you would want to change the aspect ratio. Once chosen right click (Windows 10) and click Edit Photo

After clicking edit you will want to click aspect ratio, then click Widescreen 16:9. make sure your picture is always upright and rotated so it will always fit the black bars on snapchat! (Make your picture look like mine and you'll have success!)

Demonstration

If anyone is trying to change the aspect ratio for videos, there is a ton of freeware out there that you can use.

Make sure your iDevice is plugged in and head over to iTunes to sync your photos/videos

Demonstration

EDIT: This will no longer work for Sweet since Splunk is away. This does work with other methods though.
Thank you so much for making this tutorial, I really do appreciate it!

thanks man! :)
i’m currently on my phone right now so I’m posting to come back later. Thanks for the guide.
Easier to save the pics to your phone from dropbox or by sending them to yourself on Twitter or FB from your laptop, then, if you have an iPhone just crop them in the right ratio.
