Vb.net Assembly cloner

Hello everyone,
I'm coding a program where you can clone the assembly of another program. The only problem is that I don't know how to code it.
Can someone give me a working code ?
Thanks in advance,Uija

So you are saying that YOU are coding a tool but you want the full source code done by someone else? WTF!
Learn to code dude.

It's only a part of my program and I don't know how to code this cloner . SO I'M ASKING HERE IF SOMEONE COULD HELP ME TO CODE IT.I'm not asking everything.
It's the only way to learn how to code...
And what is your program actually capable to do right now?
It isnt the only way to learn code... just google how to retrieve assembly informations in .net and you are good to go.
Usually I am trying to help people on this topics with advice or even code, but in this case it's clearly that you are bored to write the code and you only want it ready, in order to put it in the same copy+paste UI that we see for the past 5 years, all over the place, just for you to think that you created it and that you are a coder. This ain't gonna happen.

To be honest, I didn't knew what an assembly cloner was. So I googled it, and I found information as well as a free implementation of the aformentioned program, which I reversed and I find out what they do to make this work. I didn't liked the way they did it, but at least it was a successful implementation. I did all these in under 5 minutes, but here you are ... wasting space and time for both you and everyone else who reads the topic.

No hard feelings man, but if you want to be called a real coder and not a script kiddie, you should ask questions after you thought about the problem and wrote some code for it.

Have a nice day.

You mad bruh?

@OP: I assume you are referring to the assembly information of a file?

This data is stored in the resources section of the PE file. In particular, it is stored resource directory 16, also known as the version info resource directory. Have a look at programs like ResHacker or CFF Explorer to see the data for yourself. In order to "clone" assembly information, what you therefore could do is copy all the data in this directory from the source executable to the appropriate resource directory in the target executable.

In order to implement that, you might want to have a look at the native WinAPIs responsible for reading and updating win32 resources. These include the functions like FindResource, LoadResource, UpdateResource etc. You can find the VB and C# definitions on websites such as http://pinvoke.net . For an example of how to use these APIs, you can have a look here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows..._Resources . While these examples are given in C++, it should give you an idea of what the procedure is.

Lots of people here use an external tool like resource hacker. While this is probably one of the easiest to implement, it requires you to ship your final project with a copy of resource hacker, which is in violation with their terms of services, unless you get explicit permission of the author to do so (source: http://www.angusj.com/resourcehacker/).

No I am not mad. But the OP is asking in a inappropriate way i think.
Instead of asking for a complete working code he could ask for some hints where to start.

But here you go @OP:

I searched everywhere and I found nothing, that's why I'm asking here.

Maybe I asked it in the wrong way. I only want to learn something.
I already searched on google but I did not find something that could help me.
That's why I asked here.
Before coding something it's important to check if code doesn't already exists by using right keywords 😉
Washi gave you some leads 👍

If you don't want to reinvent the wheel take a look at vestris.resourcelib... it will do the stuff for you 😉
Easy 1-liner pro uber leet code
Code
My.Computer.FileSystem.CopyFile("Assembly to clone", "CLONED ASSEMBLY")

But seriously though you can't just ask someone else to do it for you O_o
