Cool to see it’s out, that’s one sexy looking award and userbar.

Yes, I could, but I've bought most of the awards and getting all these different types of Crypto for the others is a pain.

New group. New award, new features/ permissions soon to come.
But existing users (Ub3rs) won’t have access to it?

That’s a kick in the balls.

Actually I think it's great. It gives newer users something to work towards. Something the older users can't instantly get. That's what makes it special and stimulates site activity for new users. If you think about it, this is a really smart decision.

Agreed very clever idea.

Because I don’t think the data would line up.

If I had to guess, I’d say there are more Ub3rs (not total, but active) that contribute to the site than there are normals+leets (under, what, 2k posts that weren’t denied Ub3r?) who do.

Contribute is a broad term, but for the sake of this argument let’s just say posts in public forums within the most recent 10 pages.

Edit: you just gave me a weekend project.
Time to get scrapping with the API.

I don't understand what that data would tell you though. That's like saying we shouldn't teach teens to drive, because only adults are drivers.
What I'm trying to say is, of course upgraded users generally contribute more, but this is because they are the members that are sticking around. Don't forget, we were all once new and un-upgraded users. Personally I was pretty much ghosting the forum once every few weeks for the first year after I signed up here.

Just because new members haven't contributed a lot just yet, does not mean they won't be very active in the future. We should encourage them to be, which is what r00t is doing. If they start being active now they'll get something older users can't get. That's special.

Btw, if you run those statistics I do think you'll see that the majority of ub3rs aren't that active & contributing a lot either.

I don't think activity is exclusive to ub3r. Judging by the Online list you can see a solid range of l33t, ub3r and regular members.

@xadamxk, I don't get what you're trying to accomplish or prove.

Ub3r will not be the future of this forum. Do you know how I can predict that? Because I'm going to make it so that it's true. You don't have to like it or agree with it to understand you can't stop it. I'm intentionally killing Ub3r group. It might be a slow painful death too. In 2-3 years I'll be shocked if even 10% of the online list is Ub3r.

So just to clarify something, will the R3KT group still exist? I don't really mind any of the new permissions for R00T but just wanted to get the award and the new name color is awesome. I understand why because some UB3Rs do flash around their group like its some proof of their intelligence but for UB3Rs that don't do that and are respectful/helpful members it would be nice to still have something to work for. Like I said, I support the changes but it would be cool if we could just purchase the award or possibly just a username color change.

Unsure but I doubt it considering I am tempted to remove it everyday. I'm tired of the entitlement that Ub3r feel they have around here.

The more I see you comment regarding Ub3r changes and making us feel obsolete, the happier I get. There has been an Ub3r entitlement ever since I've been here. If there's anything that can make us feel more normal and less egotistical, R00t seems to be the way to go. I'm excited for more changes. Do you have anything in mind to prevent the cesspool mindset from happening with r00t members as it happened with ub3r?

It's special because it's still new, and I'm sure that there will be a noticeable activity spike because of r00t's requirements, but I just don't see the advantage of making it exclusive to new members, especially in the long run. I doubt that any new member would buy it just because old members cannot obtain it.

Thanks for fixing the negative reputation issue.

Still unable to see these two pages:
https://hackforums.net/negreplog.php
https://hackforums.net/warnlog.php

Two other things:
-- Am i supposed to be able to see people's warning level in the post? I cannot
-- Is R00T supposed to remove Leet entirely from my profile?

Just purchased R00t. It is nice. Although some features don't work. I know Omni must be fixing them behind the scenes. Thanks Admin.. 🤝

@Nachfolger, please be patient while I fix the perms. Already stated that.

Yes, because like L33t/Ub3r the r00t group is a primary.

I did some settings this morning and next I'm working on the custom pages. Should be good by the end of the weekend.

I'd like to ask for you to clarify if you may please.

I'd like to say without sounding like an asskisser (which ofc I will) I like a lot of the changes, but I also don't like some of them, either way I'll be using the site because I love the core of what it is.

Me, personally, think that you are right in some respects (my opinion doesn't matter but just please know I'm not trying to be an asshole), that Ub3r is not the future of this site, personally I don't think any user group should be the future of any site though, and that killing off the usergroup makes no sense to me, which is why I ask for clarification into you saying you're intentionally killing it. While false privilege is obviously retarded and you have every right to fuck them over for boasting it, I don't think Ub3r should suffer for this as a whole.

Not being able to view bans is whatever, I could give a fuck less honestly, but with the lottery creation and the fact that we won't be able to contribute to making these new features a bigger part of the community honestly sucks. Because me personally, would like to support this site as much as I can (I would with money but I haven't got any lol) by promoting these features, and as I'm sure more features will come, I would really hope you could let us help in them thriving and not becoming some forgotten gimmick (Using that term not in a bad way hope you understand).

Am I stepping on eggshells while writing this? Fuck yeah I am, I don't want to get closed, and by no means am I trying to defy you or hate on your site, because as I said I'll be using it no matter what changes you make, but I just thought maybe I could voice my opinion in a constructive way. I haven't been here super long and I didn't pay for my upgrades so I will never know the importance of what I say truly but all I'm really saying is this, if you wouldn't want to read this thing:

TL;DR: Me, personally (and many more I'm sure) as an Ub3r member would like to contribute helping this site's new features thrive, and while you seem adamant on your stance and I respect your decisions I just think that trying to kill off a primary group with such a large (and yes, sometimes arrogant and retarded) number of people that have been supporting and doing their work with this site for years, is not ideal, as we want to help in any way we can and be a part of the future, while the group we are in as a whole may not be in it.

If you choose to ban me or close me over this then so be it, but I just wanted to share my opinion, and I apologize if I beat around the bush or seemed skiddish and weak in my words (as I'm not trying to get fucked lol), but I really do stand by what I said.

And before I go I'll restate: I respect your decisions and will use this site regardless of any changes you may make to it.
reflect and move forward. just because the past exists for you to see does not mean that is who you must be now
