I'm switching because I just got lured on osrs for 40mish.. was looking for some tips on eoc, some good money making methods and skilling / combat. Cool is to just train and make money and not get to burnt out of the game.
heres my stats -
EoC is all about having money in your wallet.
RL cash = massively increased xp rates.
I would stick to OSRS if I was you.

As someone who's played a lot of rs3 and has unlocked every piece of content, RS3 is only enjoyable at the highest level (after max/comp, end-game pvm content). If you're not a pvmer, i don't recommend rs3 at all - stick to rebuilding in osrs. If you are a pvmer though, it'll still take a while to get to the highest level content since you need to unlock so many things that make it easy/efficient to do.
As sad as it sounds, person above is right - it helps a lot just to spend some irl $ to get through the initial boring/grindy portions since you'll have to spend time learning high level content anyway. If you're not really enthusiastic about high level content i really don't recommend wasting your time.
That being said, every person is different so maybe you'll enjoy low/mid level content. It's a commonly accepted general consensus though within the rs3 community that low/mid level content is absolute trash.

EOC is fucking shit, I'd reccomend going back to OS, OP.
if you are a good level on OSRS its really easy to get that 40m just camp zulrah or raids 1 you will make it in no time :)
I really enjoy rs3 compared to OSRS, but here's why:
I've played 07 content since fucking 07. When eoc came, I quit and went to private servers to enjoy the content (and game) that I knew and loved. But after you play that shit over and over for years, it's just stale. For me, RS3 is a totally different game these days; it requires you to forget a lot of your old knowledge and try to learn all this new content.
RS3 is hated because it no longer has that original Runescape feel that we all know and love (along with their bs microtransactions.) If you go in with an open mind it's a lot easier to accept its' current state. There's SO MUCH to do at any level in the game, it's actually kind of overwhelming the directions you can take at any given time.

I agree that RS3 has more to do, but the only good content is end-game. Minigames are dead, nobody PKs, etc. I like RS3 but it's depressing when worlds are empty and the only people playing are super noobs and people sitting in Max guild.
I might be able to help you do some bossing not the best stats but I usually solo gwd and slayer for money if you want ill gwd with you and you can keep the big drops
OSRS is the only game worth playing

I mean I guess if that's the type of game you like. Just doesn't do it for me. I'll stick with EoC
