I was apprehensive about spending $10.8k CAD on a watch my whole ride there but right when I saw it in person, it was a closed deal. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a discount because of the model (sells for higher on second-hand sites), but I did get some cool Rolex swag like the travel pouch and cleaning cloth.

A pilots job seems the hardest. If they lose attention for a small while you have the deaths of hundreds of people on your hand(I dont know about how things like auto pilot work but it should require a human to be there i believe).

I paid $10,800 Canadian Dollars with tax at the rolex store which is $8283 USD. Plus if I paid $8k for that used one on StockX, I would have to pay over a grand in import duties.
I'd rather pay less for a brand new 2018 watch that is from an AD lol.

Auto pilot can pretty much land a plane by itself so they won't crash by letting it take control but certainly need to still monitor it
