In the event I lose the following dispute: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5877307

What happens if I leave my balance as negative? 🤫

They pester you to pay, and then if you don't pay, sell the debt to a third party debt collector. But I don't think it would come to that, over $79
I've had a few accounts go negative and never had a debt collection occur. You'll be okay, just make a new PayPal (or if you want to keep that one, deposit/receive the money to cover the negative)
Nothing will happen unless they want to make an example out of you.
Alright, thanks for the info everyone! Waiting to see what Paypal does...

So if I was negative $500 on PayPal and I just open a new one (new IP but same name) I should be fine?

-$500 might be pushing it lol.

Oh yes they do. They go pretty far down, since they can just add on fees.

You'd get asked to pay it. You'd get letters, calls, and debt collectors at your house (presuming you don't bother paying it back at all, or replying to their calls/letters)

It would also for sure affect your credit score.
Depends if the paypal is in your real name and address.. If it is i would advice paying it 🤝

My answer is for his -$79 dollar. Same name and same address? No.
If you haven't verified the SSN and ID you're Gucci I think. However, I'd remove your details from that account
