Currently in the process of getting everything started up, doing EVERYTHING by myself and it's quite tasking but absolutely love the work.
Have some shirts already made and getting some samples in soon, once I have everything up and running I'd love to give the members of HF a percentage off.
I guess the whole point of this thread is to hopefully get to talk with others who have gone through this entire process and/or help answer any questions anyone may have in regards to starting their own clothing line.
So please post any questions you have and I'll answer them to the best of my abilities!
Also if you'd like to follow along my own journey with everything let me know and I'll send you my instagram so you can keep up to date with everything.
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post!

I’ve worked with a couple people who make tees, and I’ve designed one myself. Just make sure not to drown yourself in SKUs. That’ll be your downfall when starting out. Buy inventory wisely.

Yup! Keeping it low to start, like max 25 - 30 per design. Especially since I have no idea if anyone will even buy anything. Still gotta get the marketing down and building my page
There are some companies that offer POD without having an inventory at all have you checked?
Also make sure to have an IG page. You can use jarvee for automatiom - it will help you grow your audience.

I would focus on your marketing strategy before putting any funds in. Why did you pick 25-30 per?

Yeah I'm not too big of a fan of POD, just use them for samples and hats. POD is too restricting, plus going for custom cut and sew garments as well as neck tags and special effect screen printing.
And thank you for the jarvee tip, I'll be sure to check it out!

25 - 30 per is easy for me to sell in my area just with the people I know, so it's the safest range as well as most screen printers etc have a 20-24 MOQ
Best of luck with your business. I hope it all works out for you.

Stop being so negative about yourself! It's not good for your mental health.
