The submariner date is what I was originally looking for, but they ended up having this in stock, so I said fuck it.
I wanna get my hands on a hulk submariner one day :P

Nice man

Saving for one hopefully myself
Yeah the first watch purchase will have you staring at your wrist for a long time.
It's pretty awesome, they're fucking gorgeous when you get the one you like, regardless of price.

edit: I might pick up a rolex one day, but I'm still happy with my omega

I still remember that rose gold Omega on the leather strap you posted awhile ago, was in the 8k range right?
Beautiful watch as well, and an amazing brand! I really want an Omega sea-master style watch or an entry level Patek next.

Rolex though, above it just being so damn recognized, I love it. Amazing extended warranty, and they keep their value especially the professional steel sports models like the GMT!

And hahaha, I couldn't stop inspecting my watch under a loupe and desk lamp for like the first month. I've finally chilled a bit though, I don't really take it off either now unless I work out. I sleep and shower with it on lmao

Yep that's the one, and yeah price is 7k-8k depending on jeweler

Yeah Rolex is a clean af brand
That's why I'm looking into them, they've got that clean precision look that so many watches can't pull off. There's 100% a feel difference between a $400 watch and the luxury brands. And it feels like a new car getting one, fuck it's nice to look at and it never gets less beautiful.

I recommend you put your name on a waitlist and try to get a 116710BLNR (batman) at retail price. It will never go down in value, but expect to wait at least 2-years to get it at retail price unless you have solid connections with an authorized dealer. Overall though, get whatever you love. I really like the dressy type datejust 41's as well with the jubilee bracelet. I got my name on the waitlist for a 126710BLRO (pepsi) but don't think it will ever happen... at least not in the next 5 years lol. If it does though, they sell for 11k retail at the authorized dealer and 18k-22k from second-hand dealers so I could make mad profit. :P

And oh yeah trust me bro I get you. People who say it's a waste of money and just a "Watch" (aka they could get a $20 watch for the same feeling) are unfortunate to never be able to experience this. Plus whenever we need motivation to work hard and keep grinding, we just have to glance down at the wrist to know that hard work = everything xD That's mainly what I got it for, to reward myself for busting my ass these past 4 years.

Congrats on the new purchase! The GMT Masters are definitely one of the best-looking watches that they make.

Agreed, same with the submariner but it's almost hard to tell them apart from a distance.

I ultimately like the GMT more though just for the extra GMT hand, I travel a lot so it's super useful

Absolutely beautiful watch, congratulations brother. I bought my first Rolex a year or two ago, I have a Datejust with a custom white gold diamond bezel.

I was thinking of getting a GMT Master or a Submariner 'Hulk' next, what do you think I should pick?

The sub hulk if you can get your hands on one.
My authorized dealer won't even put me on the waitlist for a Hulk because there is so many people :(

Yeah I got told that too. But I know a few guys that have Jewellery shops that get them in second hand sometimes, but within 10 minutes of them posting the watch for sale, it's gone. 😏
