you need to create a partition for grub loader. when does it show this error?
also, are you booting up as MBR or UEFI?
In order to create a partition for the grub loader I have to format one of my drives but the only one I can format is the one I have ubuntu in it.
I think I am booting as MBR but how can I check it? I am using ubuntu Mate right now. Would a print screen from gparted or something would help? I tried rEFInd Boot Manager, boot repair but it all comes down to this error (Oct 18, 2018 03:20 PM)TheGoldenRelik Wrote: The problem is that I did and then Windows stopped to show at the grub loader. is windows on the same partition as your linux os? One HDD with NTFS, for storing. One SSD with NTFS for windows boot and one HDD with FAT32 for ubuntu (Oct 18, 2018 03:34 PM)Brill Wrote: then thats probably why youre not seeing it pop up on grub.. just change the drive you want to boot from in bios when you want to boot into windows Bad news. The drive with windows is not showing on the boot choices of the BIOS but I can see and access it in Ubuntu somehow (Oct 18, 2018 03:43 PM)Brill Wrote: my guess would be something in your bios is misconfigured then. I believe yes but I don't know how I can fix a bios. Maybe flash it? I don't know. Thanks for the help anyway. |
