Ted Cruz won the Texas Senate vs. Beto O'Rourke

Seems the results are in, and for Texas- this was a very close election.
Very divided in-between certain issues and principles from each candidate. Voters have voted; and the results seem to conclude that Ted Cruz has won the seat for Texas US Senate once again.

Results:
50.9% Ted
48.3% Beto

I think it is a shame that all the money/effort done by Beto didn't win the voters over. He acquired a great mass appeal for many Texans and Non-Texans alike. Perhaps we will see more of him when the next ballots are casted.

Until then; we'll sustain with Ted Cruz and his anti-marijuana & abortion outlooks. Isn't so bad, but at-least we have an understanding in regards to the border. Don't get me wrong; but I agree with him on that.

Conservative values, simple as that.

Beto with all the money he received and the support from many celebrities, looks it wasn't enough.

My peers and I are all happy. We did not want Beto.

Indeed, I would say the same on my end. Better safe than sorry that is for sure.

Baffles me how the nation hasn't legalized weed yet.
Beto made it closer than it would have been with almost any other candidate. Though he lost it looks like he may have helped democrats down the ballot. A lot of small house of representative races were way more competitive for dems than they were expected to be which could be tied to him drivng dem turnout

Soon enough; otherwise my next step is moving to where I won't be prosecuted for picking my lungs over my liver.
Can't barter with getting jail time for measly weed. Around here if they don't like you they'll take you to jail for an 8th 🤣

Beto wanted to open the borders. I didn't feel safe voting for him.

If I lived in Texas I wouldn't want a free pathway through my state either.

Honestly if Cruz lost it would be the same as a conservative winning in California. It's just not going to happen until there is a major cultural shift.
the real purpose was to get Beto social popularity so he can run for president in 2020
