Farming Marketplace B rating - is this allowed?

https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5907778

This user is paying people $0.5 BTC for reputation aka popularity reputation, but he’s asking people to make contracts?

Isn’t that essentially farming your contract rating and eventuallly could lead to a BIG trust factor or issue possibly? Such small deals and high quantity would be misleading if he ever does a real deal and could end bad for one person.

PM me before you deal
A very good point indeed. It could be seen as a loophole, but I am on your side with this.
Seems totally wrong to be doing imo!
Hope some rules are written about this if there aren't already.

This really shouldn't be allowed imo.

Could so easily be used to scam people in a later stage...

That's abuse of contracts system. It's been warned already in the past.

I had a bit of doubt about that thread too, wasn't even the one to start the contract, it was OP. However, i thought it would've been closed already if it wasn't allowed, I guess It was my fault i should have waited a bit longer. IMO that "deal" doesn't even deserve to B rate it. Also, does that mean that I'm lowkey traped? he can open a DD if i ever decide to change the rep to -3 somewhere in the future? lol
Bleh
Member should be closed he is definitely planning on something else he wouldn't farm b-rating big scaled like this
It does seem a bit shady, I'd like to see what Omni's stance on stuff like this is.

Are you kidding me? lol.
That's cheap as fuck, especially for the large amount of scams he can commit if people deem him trusted for having 30+ B-Rating which would only cost him $15...
Yeah I think they should make it to where you can’t use contracts for reputation people been farming B Ratings since the system came out that’s why even if someone has high rating I wouldn’t use that to deem if I trust the user or not.

I would say that it's fine if the comment on the "B rating" had to include 2-3 words on what the deal was. So that it's obvious that it's low amount deals.

But now it's just a bunch of "thanks", "amazing seller", etc.

Edit. Ow. :3 What if the "B rating" system looked at the contract and from there decided if it was a low/medium/high deal if amounts are mentioned. When using a contract you have to enter a number in? Never used it, so far.

But anyways, then added it to the B rating as a note on the far right.

Dont you have a deal dispute to settle instead of yapping non sense?

B rating is in place to gauge how a seller is doing in marketplace. If I have 60+ ratings from rep exchanges, do you think thats doing any good to the community?

He continues farming b-rating.

He's at 15 positive deals now.

But FYI, heres the open dispute for Maxim: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5790406

Even though that dispute is from January 25, the beginning of this year. I would presume his dispute would be settled by now.

On-topic though, I really hope Omni finds a way to control this or put a limitation on it somehow. I would hate to see anyone else succumb to the deviousness.
If using contracts for low value transactions is not allowed, then there should be a rule stating so.
