Scammed by HF's Monkey D' Luffy (ThatsBeyondMe) UID=2029881 for 142$

Scammed by ThatsBeyondMe aka HF's Monkey D' Luffy (UID 2029881) for $142

I was looking for someone to exchange PayPal for BTC but got ignored by the "big" guys so I saw that he was also exchanging on a thread and sent him a PM, my account has been inactive for a while and does not have alot of transactions or population and he seemed to be a trustworthy user with couple of transactions so I went first and sent him the $142, after I sent him the funds he confirmed that he received it and was on the way to send the BTC https://prnt.sc/lkdwdc, couple of minutes later I received a PM from him saying that the place was closed from where he sends the BTC so he would send it in the morning https://prnt.sc/lkdwi9 2 days later he still did not send the funds and has been ignoring my PM's since where I kindly request to refund the money so I can exchange it somewhere else because it was urgent https://prnt.sc/lkdwq2

I really hope that he does not fuck up and just sends everyone their money and doesn't get banned, he already messed up my thing and the guy that I should have paid with the BTC does not longer want to work with me but anyways I hope that he changes his mind

Proof of payment : https://prnt.sc/lkdw7f

Contract with user : https://hackforums.net/contracts.php?act...&cid=15463

If anyone can help me at least to chargeback the funds will be rewarded big
He wont change his mind, trust me, he is on a scamming spree

I hope that the money won’t get stuck in his throat
Sorry for your loss.

He now keeps changing his name.
Give him a negative b-rating to prevent him from scamming others.

Good tip, will do in a second
Typical exit scam - I believe he'll get banned soon with the new contract system in place. Sucks brother.

How exactly does the new contract system protect HF members against scammers? I’m just getting back on HF from a year or so ago, and I got scammed twice in one day yesterday. Seems like a bunch of scammers and shitposters have taken over the forum.

it happened at the same frequency a year ago.

The contract system helps create a transaction log making it easier for staff to identify and ban scammers

No offense to the staff, but after I got scammed yesterday, I looked up the users UID and found upwards of 10 disputes/scam reports and this guy is still scamming people. Why wasn’t he banned after the first report?

They dont always get involved in deal disputes.

Why did you wait until after the deal to look up his UID? Searching UID first will help prevent you from getting scammed

Yeah I realize, stupid mistake. Not really worried about my part because $40 isn’t much to me. I’m more concerned that these scammers have no consequences. There’s a contract system in place said to protect users from scammers but I see many people with disputes opened that are still scamming good users.

Contracts cannot protect users from being scammed, it’s only a good proof to ban the scammer

Indeed, 3 scam reports against the same user and still nothing has been done
