I've had mixed feedback on this.

It was at University, I thought I'd hit a blunt and about 10 minutes later I just had a cigarette. For some odd reason, I couldn't stand/walk properly and ended up looking like a retard hugging the wall to guide myself around for a good 3 minutes.

Are these 2 mixes not good for each other?

Well i always believed, as i've heard it many times. If you smoke a joint, and then a cigarette your high supposely be better.
Today i smoke weed everyday, and honestly the cigarette thingy is only working if you're not rutinated smoker.

I'm not sure, I've never done it. I know it's supposed to be quite bad for you compared to just smoking weed.

I almost always smoke a cigarette after a blunt.. I don't go losing my balance however. Do you smoke either cigarettes or weed often?

It's quite common in europe that they mix tobacco with weed. Maybe there is a reason behind it.
