Limit amount of market reps to same user

I've seen members with 100 positive market reps, but when you look at the details you'll find all these 100 reps were given by like max 5-6 people. I don't think this is okay.
It's so easy to get fake market rep by doing +20 deals with the same couple of friends over and over, throughout a period of time. Technically they aren't breaking any rules but fundamentally this is a huge issue in my opinion.

The simple solution to this is that there should be a limit to how many times 1 person can give market reputation to the same user. That way even if someone tried to exploit the system it would be much harder because he'd have to find more people that are willing to exploit it too.

I've seen the market-rep system get exploited on other sites and I hate for it to be the same here.

+1 for this idea
I approve this idea as well. I think 5-10 from the same member is a good lifetime limit. Contract system should still work and allow comments to be left though so people don't get scammed on the 11th deal.
I agree, but I do think there should be something set up for when you have repeated business with another member that could end up being genuinely 15 contracts for the year or something. Perhaps if it becomes an absolute requirement that you have to prove that funds were transferred for the job, then at the very least if scammers are taking advantage, there's some kind of trails to and from their accounts?

I'm not sure if this is possible but personally I was thinking once the deals are above a certain number with the same user, they don't add up to the total count of the user's rep but instead if you go into the details of that person's rep you'd see for example "Roytoy (15)" but it would only add 10 rep max to the total amount, and if it goes beyond 10 they don't get added to the amount but are only seen in the details.
Absolutely agree, I would say 5 times max per member

But the recent score needs to replace the old one in the main list
I agree as well, it seems like having 100 positive reps from the same couple of friends defeats the purpose of the market rep system.

Yes, but issue then would be with the actual system.

It wouldn't be possible to give feedback for each specific deal. Maybe something went wrong with 1, but the rest were OK?
I agree something needs to be done about current abuse though.

Maybe an option to edit past reps would be beneficial in this case.
When you view a member’s Business Rating (B-Rating) page you should see a line that says “Total Unique Members”. We already show the number of members each other member has dealt with.

Interesting. Though If it's not obvious enough for someone who's been using the site for 10 years I don't think it's obvious enough for the people who would likely get scammed, IMO.
This actually sounds like a good Idea.
What if there is hundreds of legitimate contracts between the users? I suppose this isn't too bad of an idea so long as the contracts can still be used an unlimited times between two parties but a restriction on b-rating after x times between two parties. Not a bad idea at all.

Nowadays? I'm just here for the nostalgia.
What if they were grouped somehow? I agree though.

I like that idea.
I leverage trade cryptocurrency using Bitmex.
You can trade BTC with up to 100x leverage. This means Ex. $100 get's you a $10000 position in BTC
