Central Processor

anyone here like CPUs without graphics integrated?

Intel CPU without graphics integrated a good option if I want to use a discrete GPU?

What's the benefit here compared to the ones with integrated graphics? Is it just price or performance as well? Or it's just better overall to have components by itself and not a combo?

If you mean overall, there are theoretical benefits in overclocking headroom if there is no iGPU.

If you mean on locked sku's then yeah not really any difference.

If you mean the "new" "F" sku's that are coming then providing the prices are slightly lower to the fully enabled sku's then cost would also be a benefit alongside the potential better OC'ing.
Personally, the only aspects of an iGPU I kind of like are with troubleshooting and budget laptop options. For example, it is nice for users to have an alternative video output port when it comes to diagnosing video related problems. Some symptoms aren't so obvious and many people don't have spare GPUs. Then an iGPU or APU can be an option with a very strict budget when the user requires like Photoshop or esports games.
Pretty pointless my man, don't worry about it and save money.
What is pointless?

But for a mining rig, would a CPU without graphics integrated be better off having a standalone or separate GPU? Is an integrated CPU actually better or faster, add to that a separate GPU? Wouldn't this mean I'd be running 2 graphics cards?

I know some here are going to say mining is dead, but I'm just trying to learn it either way (I think it has a future). Also, would I actually need a mining rig to "invest" in a "blockchain"? It's the technology I'm curious about. I could careless about fluctuating e-money.

That'd be something to test or google, but if you're looking to buy it for the sole purpose, def not worth a try.
I see. According to this Youtube video a blockchain is a software and then stuff about cryptography:

The comments there are epic...

iGPU's are good for adobe premier or for Streaming/Recording video on Intel Quick Sync/AMD AMF.

Not in comparison to a discreet gpu

After a quick google search, iGpus in conjunction with a discrete GPU is possible for multiple displays, as well as increased performance for DirectX 12 applications

CAN BE USED.

There are not really any games that actually implemented that.

There used to be an app that worked like that for Windows entirely (worked for all games) but it seems to have broken on later Windows it was really buggy and had issues.

For multiple displays its not really recommended unless your using Nvidia main GPU and 2 monitors with diff refresh rates as to not lock in to 60hz.

I don't feel like you understood the OP's question.

They asked are there any advantages to buying a CPU without an iGPU vs with an iGPU if you are going to use a discrete GPU anyways?

Nobody said that an iGPU would be better than a graphics card., only the possible uses with and without the iGPU.

You're right i'm not sure if I did understand OP's question, it was written pretty awfully.
Answer is: Pretty much useless

Should still be applicable for the following: Twitter feed, YouTube, Twitch, researching, general multitasking.

igpu + dedicated GPU the igpu is only relevant if your doing streaming but don't want to impact your performance. This is less useful now because AMF + NVEC (AMD & Nvidia codecs) do

The rest of the things just plug your monitors into your card they are not intensive at all.
