Item dupe glitch on server

It's been ages since I've last played Minecraft, and as i was aimlessly browsing Youtube, I came across a video of this guy who drank an invisibility potion, then crapped gold on everybody he sees. And this was uploaded earlier last week. Supposedly this server's plugin currency was actual gold inventory item, but there is/was a dupe glitch which caused them to basically infinitely generate an item of choice. Server then shut down for a few days because of it. All I could gather was it must have something to do with book and quill. Anybody aware of this?

Edit: There is already a server plugin which stops you from making useless unicode. So this is pretty much patched on every server except the small ones.

Yeah, I am now trying to find ways to break a chunk or force it so not save by trying other methods of sending alot of data in the chunk, You have any idea how to replicate by not using unicode spam?

This has been integrated into Aristois (non-Forge).

With a book and quill in hand, ".cbook random 50" makes a book for duping if I'm not mistaken.
