So i was at an intersection waiting for cars to pass so i could get onto the main road and a cop drive past both staring directly at me and a mate because i had a passenger in the car aswell and then i finally went onto the main road, 100 metres up the cop was stopped at a uturn section waiting thinking hes gonna do a uturn when really theirs no cars so he could of just went but it was for me to go past and my mates like hes gonna pull you over and all of a sudden sirens on boom their it was! My mate asked why did you pull us over and he's like just had a "hunch". Gave them my license and he said both of yous step out and sit on the curb. As cars was going past us you can imagine the stairs like they have never seen someone get pulled over before sooo we got searched me and my mate due to the car smelling like weed found nothing and then searched my whole car and found 1 knife and hes like why do you have this and im like "self defence never know what can happen" but i wasnt gonna get away with it anyway with any excuse but luckily he found only 1 and not the other one. In the end nothing happened no fines nothing he said get rid of it and piss off! Iv'e actualy been lucky like this 4 times before but without getting pulled over high. I wasnt nervous suprisingly my heart usually beats 3x faster. I stayed quite as i couldn't talk that's how cooked i was.
Life lesson hide any illegal shit in the car and don't get caught, I was lucky i was looking at a massive fine but they said "Don't ever use that excuse!" "Don't ever say that" If it was another cop you're fucked
I don't know where you're from, but in the US he could have busted your ass as soon as you told him the knife was for self defense. That is, unless you have a concealed weapons permit. Always use the most logical excuse. "Cutting things".

I ran from the police on foot with some mates. Hide for like 2 hours. And then got pulled over like 10 minutes after we got in his car that had hella kush. It was like 4 or 5 am and the cop kept spooking us saying DON'T LIE... DO YOU HAVE ANYTHING IN THE CAR? Etc...Well he wasn't yelling he was pretty cool (there was 2 of em). We were nice back. and we got away scotch free (it was for a headlight something idr)

If you don't have a concealed weapons permit and an officer searches your car (You should have said no anyway) and finds a machete that you claim you intend to protect yourself with, you can be arrested and charged with concealing a deadly weapon. I carry a pocket knife, and they are far from illegal. You must have had a big knife or something of the sorts. Anyways, we have all been there some of us multiple times. But as you drive more and more you get less nervous and ultimately end up in less bad situations in general. Most US states haven't really figured out the whole driving high thing yet. Usually you won't get a DUI. But if you were to live in a legal state like I do, they want people driving high to fail sobriety tests. Luckily, smell and even possession isn't enough of a reason to pull anyone out of the vehicle here. As long as your 21 of course.
