Did OP have an open knife? I carry daily and live a lifestyle which I have my run ins. Never has it even been brought up.
I've been pulled over with a knife before. But it was a hunting knife in my backpack. Cop asked what I was doing with it (keep in mind that carrying a concealed knife is illegal). I said that I was selling it and thats why it was at the bottom of the bag.
I also had a manual weed grinder at that point (brand new, used once). He confiscated that (which couldve been a charge as well) and let me keep the knife. Sometimes you just get to catch a break, but I guess selling it is a good excuse maybe (that is, if it's worth selling, can't carry a kitchen knife and expect to use that excuse) (Feb 28, 2019 05:33 AM)Mercury Wrote: If you don't have a concealed weapons permit and an officer searches your car (You should have said no anyway) and finds a machete that you claim you intend to protect yourself with, you can be arrested and charged with concealing a deadly weapon. It's all about intended purpose. Age is not a factor. That also depends on the length of the knife, anything over 4inch is illegal. Anything under 4 inches is legal to carry. 🤝 (Mar 1, 2019 06:24 AM)Pain Wrote: That also depends on the length of the knife, anything over 4inch is illegal. But if you intend to hurt someone with it, it is considered a weapon. Self defense would not be an excuse in the extreme situation that the cops are looking for a reason to bust you. This signature is for sale.

That just sounds ridiculous. If you are carrying an illegal weapon for self defense that is a different case.

It's a pocket knife from a store literally yeah it's weird, what's the difference between a cop and me? What their job? Why not defend my life (Feb 28, 2019 11:51 PM)Cocaine Wrote: I carry a pocket knife, and they are far from illegal. You must have had a big knife or something of the sorts. Anyways, we have all been there some of us multiple times. But as you drive more and more you get less nervous and ultimately end up in less bad situations in general. Most US states haven't really figured out the whole driving high thing yet. Usually you won't get a DUI. But if you were to live in a legal state like I do, they want people driving high to fail sobriety tests. Luckily, smell and even possession isn't enough of a reason to pull anyone out of the vehicle here. As long as your 21 of course. It's little literally I can ever post a photo it's a little pocket knife, my security teacher explained it to me apparently I have already already justified what I'm gonna do with that knife before even doing it if you get what I mean Yeah I'm 22 and it's illegal here but fuck 0 deaths on weed yet people on alcohol dying every year (Mar 1, 2019 06:24 AM)Pain Wrote: That also depends on the length of the knife, anything over 4inch is illegal. Yeah it's at least 4 or something but it's small (Mar 1, 2019 06:30 AM)Mercury Wrote: But if you intend to hurt someone with it, it is considered a weapon. I live in a state where the laws are very strict so I believe it would most likely be legal in most if not all states. However, if it is more than 4 inches, I would get rid of it, maybe purchase one with a shorter blade or look into other means of self defense such as pepper spray.

Doesn't matter what you think because it's still a DUI. Driving under the influence of anything is wrong if it alters your mind.
Been pulled over high, they'll search your car, search you then make you do the light moving test.
Ate an edible right after I left my guys and a wawa then got pulled over downtown for my headlight being out after the light test is the stepping and the backward ABC's this was like 2 months ago. such a bitch im good driving high trust me

I agree it does do that but I'm referring to marijuana but your more alert on weed and you're more focused (Feb 27, 2019 05:20 PM)Mercury Wrote: I don't know where you're from, but in the US he could have busted your ass as soon as you told him the knife was for self defense. What state requires you to have a a concealed weapons permit for a pocket knife (talking blades < 2.5")? Any knife over four inches is usually illegal depending on the state and if it’s spring assisted it’s classified as a switch blade. |
