First time getting pulled over while high as a mofo

My point is, it's all about what you state your intentions are with said object. If you openly admit that your intended use for said knife is self defense, it can be considered a lethal weapon regardless of length.

I got pressed over a baseball bat one time. Thankfully I've always kept a ball in the car as well. Not that it matters after you specify your intentions with it being its intended purpose. It would be tough to pawn off a giant knife/switchblade on anything other than self defense, haha.

I feel your pain.

I don't think that's true at all. If I'm wrong I'll gladly admit it, but through numerous years of knife ownership and 5 mins of Googling I can't find any instances where stating a knife is being used for defensive purposes changes the law whatsoever. Your intent changes, sure, but the law when it comes to reasonably sized knives (length varies by state but the 3-4" ballpark) you seem to be fine no matter what you state you intent is (as long as your intent is legal, obv). Edit: This is in regards to concealed knives.

Your state, county, township and local police department are truly the determining factors in these "what if" situations. Knife laws are even more obfuscated than gun laws. I personally avoid the clusterfuck entirely by legally carrying guns.

You're a complete moron and you have "Swaggasaurus Rex" as your motto. I'm done talking with you. You're a moron for driving under the influence and I just hope you don't kill someone.
