Of course, Those stars were awesome, One of my sales threads were one of the most rated Active marketplace sales thread on HF (Over 120 + votes I earned it through a long period of time ) ..

Anyways myself I never really bothered alot about Sales thread ratings .. 😎

Yeh Like everyone else I do miss them definitely it was a good run, it was so nice and cool .. 😊

However, this change will stop people exchanging and buying  5 stars with Popularity & bytes.. 😧

i`m glad they are gone, They NEVER reflected the truth of a market thread. It was just a war about morons and competition rating 1 star and buddies + customers rating 5 stars. My thread was made when you could rate anonymously so it had 3 stars while newer threads got 5 stars since you added notification of those who rate your thread. Seems only fair now.

Yeah looks like it's missing something now but atleast you will sell more Tags now, since the threads would be way more noticeable with them now.

O.T I never cared about the thread stars tbh never bothered me nor i ever looked at them while buying something.

For marketplace threads, maybe a summary (numeric) of trades conducted from the thread and the amount of them finished w/o issue would be a good replacement?

I have disabled site-wide the Thread Ratings.  I've never minded them and while only semi-useful I thought visually they added something to the forumdisplay pages.  Members have asked me to alter or remove them for a while now.  At one point in HF history they were completed disabled.  We don't have a plan to replace them but that's something I'm considering.  Realistically any system to rate threads is so similar to the Thread Ratings system of MyBB that I don't see why we just don't use it.  Adding B-Ratings isn't appropriate because that's only for Marketplace.  Running 2 system is too much wasted resources imho.  

So for now many of you have your wish and Thread Ratings are disabled.  IMHO the forums look a lot plainer now, almost boring.  Actually bothers me already how plain the pages are.

I would agree the pages look boring, but I think the thread rating was a abused feature. So realistically it's a small thing to lose to gain that.

It's the same thing when people used custom written reps. You get a group of friends who just spam 1 ratings or whatever. A idea could be to let the contracted customers leave a thread rating?

I'm not here to complain, Not saying I didn't like the stars, Just looking at it from a positive point.
