Those stars were awesome but as you've said, members complained because it lowered their sales. I don't know how's that possible to prove but hey...

I don't really see why a few stars wouild lower sales

But they did have a good look with the thread title, and their removal did leave somewhat of a 'void'.

Will miss the thread stars as now with just the sales tag - it looks completely plain & barren.
At least before, threads without the $20 sales tag had something going on for them with the ratings.

Omni is there not a way to incorporate the thread rating with contracts ? What i meen is that only contracted users can rate the thread ?

This would stop the gang rating and false ratings and all complains.

I honestly didn't really take them too seriously. Just like the dislikes on YouTube, there will always be 5 thousand idiots to dislike something for no real reason.

Not saying it wasn't at all working feature just don't see the big deal in it.

I think this is a great change! Thread ratings do not accurately represent the quality of a thread.

Ratings were quite useful although people used to abuse it by rating other competitive threads. Now, it's good, but we aren't used to such plainness, but we'll use to it. Nevertheless, it's good to disable such an option for a while as people will understand how to differentiate between threads that require attention than hyping a thread on purpose!
