Not to be much of an oldfag (can I even be considered one?), but I'm really starting to think some of the changes have made the overall "home-y" feel of HackForums disappear. Maybe it's because I've been inactive for two years and just haven't gotten adjusted to the feel of things, but I miss the old HackForums... I dunno what this new popularity shit is anymore, but it feels like shit. Rep used to be a big deal on who was who, and had a prestigious effect. Now I see people just buying it with bytes (more on that too...) and it devalues the whole system, so why have it in the first place? I do like some of the market additions, but I don't really fuck with that shit so I can't speak on it a whole lot. Even small shit like the old navigation bar was leagues ahead of what is being used now. I dunno what this bytes shit is other than a rewards system for posting, and for me that's always seemed like a way to boost a starting forum and has no real point but to boost posting numbers whether it's LQ or HQ posts. I feel like we've taken a turn to be like LF or some other shit, it just doesn't feel HQ anymore... I dunno, maybe as I get back into the groove of being back it'll all just become normal again. Nonetheless I'm glad to still see Omni being Omni, top dawg.

With every change introduced, there will be those who will either embrace it or shun it based on their own personal preference.
Of course, as I read a few pages earlier, what Omni said is spot on.

No one stares at HF longer than he does - so if it is something not sitting well with the users, I'm sure he'd take it into consideration.
My own personal opinion - I love the simplistic & minimal look 9 out of 10 times but hey... after removing the thread ratings, this does bring a slight pop.

I think all paid groups should be kept on profiles, even if that means they're no longer available. I paid for it as a collecting piece of sorts to add to my profile, I'd like to keep it.

Yikes on the exit scam, me and the kid resolved it, he refused to take down his shit, then got banned. I was 16 (I think?) at the time and did something stupid and made up for it (paying the kid what he was owed). Not that it matters. 👍

I'm 20 now, if you can't take that I've matured a lot since then, I honestly can't say anything to help the situation. I did something incredibly stupid at the time for a girl I was with, and I regretted it every day after doing it. I came back and resolved the issue with the kid and that was the end of the story. I'd post PMs between us, but I'm guessing HF deleted them?
