So a few weeks ago I had someone dispute this contract: https://hackforums.net/showthread.php?tid=5974847

Basically I login a few weeks ago to see this dispute. He claims that the tool does not work at all, BEFORE I EVEN SENT HIM THE TOOL! How is that even possible?
So as you see in the dispute I tell him that since he hasnt received the product yet i can give him a refund. He says he paid with paypal but then tries to give me a btc address to refund him. I checked my paypal transactions from that day and there is almost no chance he even paid me in the first place! So this guy opened a dispute before receiving the product I guess to somehow try to swindle me into giving him a refund for a product he never even paid for. I've been traveling the last couple weeks so I havnt been able to hop on very much so I just realized this dispute was still happening. And I now see that his HF account is closed.
Is there anything I can do about this? I now have one negative b rating for possibly the most bullshit reason I have ever seen.

Sadly this is one of the main reasons I still have never started using Template contracts till I can find the best option to avoid DD abuse on them.

So far I've seen invalid DDs being removed, but no b-ratings being removed. I hope this gets resolved for you somehow tho OP 🤝

Yeah I don't think staff wants to mess around with it. Just something you may have to explain to future buyers

Ya I guess I'll just have to be more careful with accepting contracts now. It just sucks because it's so clear that he was trying to scam me, and I'm the one that ends up with a negative b rating.

The thing, nobody can stop a user of throwing a negative rating even if they actually paid and received the product. I understand that it's shit as it's an invalid rating, nobody want to get a negative nor even a neutral. However, if you look at it from the bigger picture, (considering even if it's a valid rating) 1 negative rating out of 185 deals is quite good. Just trying to make you look at the positive side 🤝

Kinda wish my one negative b-rating could be removed. The guy was banned for being a scamming little shit (gave me a negative b-rating after scamming me, lol).

Sadly looks like nothing could be done :/

Also in the same boat here, received a negative rating from someone who was attempting to scam and extort me. The user has since gone on to block me but I'm left with his emotional rating and worry this could impact future business.

That's a real shame honestly, I feel like vengeful and immature users can ruin reputations or perfect scores by abusing this.

Actually, mine was a sour deal earlier in the year that me and the user resolved now. Just neither of us can change the B rating as its been more than a month or whatever the time frame is.

Ah I see, well that still sucks, especially if you resolved things with each other. I'm just very tempted to spend some cash and time on getting back at this user because this rating is going to stick.
